I find the mechanics of these playlist a bit odd since this list doesn't match up with my last.fm top songs for the year so I would also like to nominate for your consideration my #5 played song of the year which is not here but is still a banger:
Oh it's absolutely a payola scheme. I don't see many artists from smaller record labels on my list even though I know a lot of them dominated my listening this year. Still kinda fun though.

Totally agree, but to use the aforementioned example, I find it a bit odd that my playlist has three songs by Confidence Man, just not the one that I listened to the most.
Noticed change yr mind on kait's. That was really high for me also, when I'm sure I listened to a few songs off that album more (tonite and I Used To for sure)
Artists 6, 7, 8 are Eminem, Frank Ocean, and Bon Iver. It's also worth noting that those top songs are in terms of total time, so longer songs are given preference (hence Shine On You Crazy Diamond being so high - I only played it 7 times). If we go by total plays:
1a. Feel the Love (Kids See Ghosts) 1b. Nikes (Frank Ocean) 3a. Rap God (Eminem) 3b. 151 Rum (JID) 3c. SIRENS (Denzel Curry f. JID)
