I grew up feeling HTTT was tops and finding the general knob-gobbling of OKC to be tiresome, especially once I discovered Towering Above the Rest and realized the best shit didn't really make it (LOOKING AT YOU BIG BOOTS AND REMINDER, LOOKING AT YOU MELATONIN AND THE POLYS). IR was the first time an album really made me ... reevaluate things? maybe it was because I was in college and really thought I was something and the timing was just right to be leveled regardless of if the record strikes a note or not. IR became the dragon, never to be caught again. By the time AMSP came out, I was all out of reasons to give a rats fanny.
Kanyes pretty damn talented but I guess I don't get it. Yeezus will always be his most defining record for me.
