Yeah super weak rodeo year, not that it's usually strong but there's usually at least 1-3 fun bookings and I'm not sure there's any this year, feels super uninspired. I can't believe they booked Oliver Anthony and Nickelback lmao
Whiskey Myers getting the bump was cool though, I'd maybe go that day if it wasn't a Monday. My fiancee is on a rodeo committee this year so I think we can get into shows for free but even then it's a hard sell, but maybe we'll do Bun B day, I've missed it the last two years and it's looked like a fun time

Really waiting for some more tour announcements, summer is looking pretty barren shows wise. I'm doing Billy Strings day of that Big as Texas Fest and Idles in Houston in May, and that's mostly it
Been keeping my eye on tickets for Zach Bryan and Isbell here at the stadium, I have no interest in nosebleeds at NRG and the face value for lower bowl for that concert is way too ridiculous, but there's a ton of tickets available so I've been hoping for a sale or secondary market to tank. But I also realized Isbell is doing that Whitewater Amphitheater venue in New Braunfels the night before. I looked and there's some pretty awesome looking airbnbs on the river and lake right around there, gotta say a weekend hanging around there may be more tempting
Honestly, whole year is pretty barren as of now. My only other show is Yo La Tengo next month and King Gizzard all the way in November
definitely planning on covering isbell's whitewater show especially since when i had him here in lubbock i had to shoot from the soundboard. it'll be hot as satan's armpit but it'll definitely be worth it.

Did anyone actually score a ticket to that Vampire Weekend Eclipse show? I struck out completely on the pre-sale, as did two friends. Very curious what face value for those tickets were
There was immediately a ton on resale websites and starting prices weren't really too bad so I'm hoping it comes down to a solid price in the next month or so

Going to that festival in Conroe tomorrow to see Billy. Hoping it isn't a shitshow, first year fests can scare me sometimes
Wouldn't be going if not for Billy, but it'll be cool to catch Amanda Shires, Los Lobos, and Fearless Flyers too
I’m heading over there soon. Every single act I would want to see on that lineup is today and all but Billy on the same stage. Buffalo Nichols > Amanda Shires > Fearless Flyers > Los Lobos > 45 minutes of Dwight before heading to Billy Strings should be a fun run. I drove by the fairgrounds yesterday and you can see and hear the Armadillo stage from the road. Hope to see some locals out there getting down to Fearless Flyers.

Fearless Flyers absolutely ruled, I've listened to Vulfpeck a bit but didn't really know what to expect out of FF and it blew me away. Just a blast. Random booking for that fest to have made but so glad they did. Those guys can play
I really enjoyed the fest overall but I think they must have way undersold compared to estimates with how empty it felt, but that made for a great experience. No lines anywhere, easy to grab spots, very chill vibes all around. Hope they came out ok financially because I'd go back if they did it again

Doing the Fort Worth Billy Strings show, yee haw
Would do Austin too but have a wedding that weekend
Also anyone catch either Vampire Weekend show last week? Houston one was great, to the point that I'm almost considering a round 2 in Austin in October
