eventually got through for lizzo tickets. i read that standing room only is a nightmare, so i just took the first seats they offered me. my sister will be excited no matter what, so guess i'm going to the rodeo!
never seen a show there but it is way out of the way
Yep. It is so out if the way and it's always a cluster getting home. I'm also just not a fan of +10k amphitheater/arena settings. Plus the almost $10 drinks suck ass as well.

ive never done it but the pictures ive seen have been awful
Cicuit of the America's is the worst venue experience I think I've ever been a part of. If I was going to give a concert another shot it would have to be something small.
1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/4: knock2 3/7: Inhaler* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
so do you guys think i should just try to sell my lizzo tickets to at least get part of my money back or is there any chance they end up actually cancelling/refunding any of the rodeo? from what i've read, it seems like they're just holding events as usual.
i haven't heard anything, our company has seats that they gave out so ideally they'd let us know if they knew.
am i overreacting by thinking we probably shouldn't go? since i'm not local, i'm not sure if i'm just being paranoid because the internet.
i don't think so. it's all really up in the air, so i wouldn't hold it against anyone for backing out of a trip down and im sure your sister wouldn't either.
i know they cancelled classes at Rice this week, UH is on break so idk what the plan is for coming back. Basketball games have all be proceeding as scheduled, all other big concerts (Eagles just did a b2b). So i think you'd mostly be fine, but who knows.
if anything, id bet on there being less people overall at the show if it goes on, and imo any excuse to get out of seeing the actual rodeo part is worth it.
i do feel very lucky that i don't have anything major planned that could be cancelled so i'm definitely looking at it through that lens.

Ubbi Dubbi moved to Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX which is a bit south of Dallas and close to Waxahachie and is 3 days of camping from April 23-25.
Not much for me at this one which I wouldn't drive to Dallas for anyway except Liquid Stranger and a couple of acts from his label and Rusko. Otherwise, I hope it's not a foreshadow of the EDM at early year concerts :/
This is the first show announced at the new 5k capacity amphitheater in Waterloo park in Austin. Could definitely see C3 moving acts over to this venue that would normally play multiple nights at stubbs or acl live. Also, really confusing to have another venue named Moody.

the regular lawn looks like it's just for vibing, no chance of seeing anything, unless there's a tv, didn't really see one though.
just feels like glass animals is too big for something like this? like khruangbin 2016 sounds like a good time here
The capacity seems to be comparable with a lot of the other venues they are playing on this tour. Erwin or the amphitheater at cota would be the only venues bigger in town and those seem like stretches based on some of the other places they are playing.
has anyone ever gone to one of the shows after F1 in Austin? considering making the trip down there with the news that TOP is gonna headline Friday night. (That is if they don't announce a tour along with the official F1 announcement.)

parking/traffic is a nightmare. don't expect an easy exit.
if you don't get there early you can get bad view lines. the venue is loosely shaped like a rectangle, not very wide, so you cant get close on the sides or anything. imagine TOP brings a sizable crowd so I'd not linger around (unless you have seats but from what I remember it's significantly more lawn)
