This is the time of year I start to get procrastinated by festival thoughts. Some acts that I don't think have ever played: A Perfect Circle Alanis Morisette Alice in Chains Amy Shark Arcade Fire Awolnation Beck Billy Idol Blondie Death Cab for Cutie Dorothy Dream Wife Eddie Vedder Father John Misty Flaming Lips Grouplove Incubus Jake Bugg Jessica Hernandez Judah & The Lion Maggie Rogers Margo Price Morning Teleportation Nine Inch Nails Pinky Pinky Primus Rainbow Kitten Surprise Regrettes Reignwolf Robert Plant Royal Blood Seratones Sheryl Crow St. Vincent Starcrawler Sturgill Simpson Sunflower Bean Thunderpussy Two Door Cinema Club Vampire Weekend Wallows Weezer White Reaper Yeah Yeah Yeahs
I think NIN and some other heavier music makes sense this year since Shaky will share the same dates as Welcome to Rockville a couple hours southeast for the first time this year.
and plus Louder Than Life was canceled. So hopefully they play this. It’s all I want. Was so sad I was finally gonna see them and couldn’t because of flooded festival grounds. If LCD can headline, NIN can.
Unless they take a good step forward this year (which I don’t think they will) Tool and The Cure are too big. Muse probably is too but they’re announcing their tour soon and Atlanta is a confirmed date already.
With Deerhunter playing some shows in the southeast and skipping Atlanta I’m hoping that means Shaky snagged them. Not sure if headlining a small fest in Savannah in early March would have any effect but I’m pretty shocked they haven’t played before. Hopefully this is the year.
