Haim is charging $75+fees for the other two bellwether shows, plus they set a bunch of tickets aside for platinum/VIP packages. At least this one has a nice hook in playing the album for its anniversary.

Dang, I think I paid $25 total to see Haim on the actual Days Are Gone tour. Not too enthusiastic to check out the Bellwether any time soon with their pricing (I might just have to miss Slowdive this cycle), but I am curious to hear the initial reports about the venue from anyone here who goes.

I’ll be there on Monday for HAIM and will report back after

So far its been good. There is no barrier so you can be right up on the stage. Feels smaller than the capacity suggests. ( 1600 ) drink prices arent the best, but thats expected. Good sound. Parking across the street is $10. Theres some street parking but youll have to come early to get it. They have a restaurant inside. Looks way nice overall of course.
The venue did a not so good job on pricing for tickets cause they shouldve just sold tickets to any show for $40 flat at the most and they all sell out in 5 minutes. And why Ticketmaster. A new indie venue shouldnt just use the obvious. Couldve gone with Ticketweb or See. Like its nice there are some underplays happening here but that honeymoon aint lasting past this year. Like what are they gonna be going after when a normal Coachella season happens. Since APE is involved theyre probably going to tie in as much as possible with bookings up north but the venue might just end up a LN clone with high pricing but some cooler acts. Still want to see if they start booking some acts in the Emerald Room which is supposed to hold 600 people.
Anyone looking to see Jason Isbell tomorrow night at the Greek? Selling a pair for $50 total - PM me if interested. They're currently listed on TickPick as well for $31 each (all-in).

Pros: - It exists - You never have to wait to get a drink. There are an uncountable number of bars spread throughout the venue. Even at a sold out show, I never saw a line to get drinks, simply because there are so many bars/bartenders. They really figured out that more bars/bartenders = more drinks sold = more money.
Cons: - It seems like the minimum amount of money and effort was spent redesigning the space from whatever it was before to a concert venue. It's cold and soulless. - The sound is average at best - The sight-lines are truly atrocious. If you're on the floor, you better be at the very front. There are mediocre views from the back of the floor off the to the side, but there are copious large columns that exist solely to block your view (and hold up the balcony above, I guess). At the balcony level, the only way to get a decent view is to be on the balcony rail. The balcony is not sloped, and the angle to the stage is harsh, so even if you're 2nd or 3rd row balcony, you can't see a thing. - The drinks are expensive. - The drinks suck. - The food sucks. - Ticket prices are stupid
That sucks to hear, I was hoping that the venue would be good and justify the high prices. They do have some good shows coming up too.
They overpaid to get all the talent. Only way to get it going and not have underperforming shows. Except they shouldve just bit the bullet and made it all cheaper to begin with. They cant keep having those kinds of shows there every month thats for sure.
