yeah Gambino is a god, but having another 34 year old play spiderman would of been kinda dumb. im perfectly content with him just being Miles Morales's uncle.
Glover is at the same level of headliner status as Frank Ocean. So yes, a weak headliner but he'd be a lot cooler booking than The Weeknd. Though I'm not sure how big both draw..

I can totally see him headlining a Coachella/Roo/Lolla next year. The success of redbone, the grammy noms/awards, and This is America going viral is really gonna push him to that next level.
Decent listicle regarding This Is America; it caught a bunch of things I didn't and also explained the face Bino makes in the beginning that I knew must have been intentional but didn't know the meaning of.

It still blows my mind the amount of praise and coverage Childish Gambino has been getting these past few days. Crazy considering the amount of shit he was getting back in the Camp days.
Also, we think the song is gonna debut in the top 5 next week?

I'm actually surprised at the amount of backlash i'm seeing against him. Not so much for his music but people accusing him of (kinda) appropriating the black experience for his own gain. There's a lot of people on some websites who call him out for dating/having kids with a white woman and how that's suspect all on its own. Then they tie it to his older lyrics about liking asian women and paint him as a misogynist/racist.
I was pretty shocked at seeing that but apparently for some folks he's not "black enough" or doesn't represent them because of how he's taken the turn from goofy comedy boy to serious black voice.
I've always liked his work but wasn't in love with his earliest stuff. There were some funny lines and wordplay but it wasn't until a little later that I thought of him as really talented in music. The last album still blows me away.
