I had no idea what soulwax was going to be and holy cow. They left my jaw on the floor that was amazing. The precision, the intensity, those drums. Wow
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

+1 for the Jason Kelce avatar.
YEah that shit has jumped to one of my Need to See this year if possible.
Proud to be Belgian bc of Soulwax, goddamn legends.
Idk if they're that similar, but you should check Goose out if you like Soulwax
I've seen Goose live last year in a festival in Istanbul, and I liked their performance a lot. I forgot to check them after, so thanks for the reminder!
And this Soulwax performance is so fucking great! I wish I lived closer to LA and had the luxury to go on a weekday to see them.
I was pretty much done with them after seeing them a few times over the years. It was always a decent show but just kind of whatever. This set kind of changed of my mind.
3 years ago, I saw them in the most sweaty tent you can imagine for like 500 people around like 3/4 pm at this festival I went to. I just started listening to that kind of music like whatever TheSoundYouNeed put online around that time and wanted to check them out and have been following and going to shows when the possibility was there since then. Seeing them grow each year I went to see them (Berlin '16, Brussels '17) to what they've become, to this set is amazing. Huge props to them for making it.

I think I've heard enough 'Migohh Migohh!!' and *gunshots* for a while after this set now. Also that 'Where my day ones at?' became very cringey after a while. what a mess of a set.
bummer Em & Dre didn't do Guilty Conscious, but idk that's kind of the problem with Em as a headliner. If you're not super familiar with that song, and hear it for the first time at Coachella, that's got to be a pretty big bummer.
will they change the live stream schedule up and show some different acts this weekend?
They normally don’t stream wk2 iirc
They did a panoramic stream in 2016 on some weekend 2 sets but you couldn’t really watch it on tv. You could technically, but you were looking at the point of an angle for the front so the stage was radiating outward on not sides rather than just being in front of you. The curator who meatball sub posted said he’d have some on stage camera work available via his FB feed but I don’t remember if he said it was going to be live or he’d just have clips.

If you can't get down for a song where Eminem tries to convince someone to sexually assault an intoxicated underage girl, then that's your own personal problem.
so the sound is super fucked in this set? idk that that's their fault, which people seemed to believe on twitter. the crowd seems to be eating slippery up.
also, it's interesting that every other set has gotten the "well crowds are bad, what were they supposed to do" excuse, but it's somehow different and it's migos fault this crowd sucks?

Haven't watched their Coachella set but Migos are pretty bad about rapping over their own vocals and having no stage presence.
lol the crowd looked really confused at how to handle lil baby. pretty terrible name, not great, but far from the worst "rappers friend brought on stage to rap" I've seen.
