Am I the only one that's lukewarm about the whole RATM reunion thing? I mean, I guess it'd be cool but no way it's going to be better than when I saw them in '99 or '07. Suppose it's for people who missed out the first few times.

I am pumped for this reunion. I was too young to catch them in ‘07, so I feel like this is my best chance to see them. I’ll be going to BC and probably whatever day they play at Firefly. I’m assuming they’ll be at Lolla, so I’ll probably try to make that happen as well. If they announce solo shows somewhere on the east coast, I’ll probably be there. I just wanna see them as much as possible because this could be the last run.

The My Chemical Romance on sale was an absolute shit show! I waited in the Barclays queue for almost an hour, and when I finally got in the only seats left were behind the stage.....in the 200 sections....for $190 before fees!
The NJ show sold out instantly too but they added a second night, so I grabbed tickets for that. Not as absurdly priced, got lower bowl seats for $159 after fees. Now I just have 8 months to figure out how to get to Newark!

It went...exactly how I thought it would but glad you got tickets for night 2. Newark Penn is walking distance from the venue so if you're able to get to Penn Station easily, it's not a long ride.

PATH Train or NJ Transit train (PATH is cheaper, NJ Transit a little faster) will get you right there. Prudential is a nice arena, I like it better as an arena than MSG and Barclays, its only problem is that it's in NJ. (I also live just two stops from Barclays)
5/1 Belle & Sebastian 5/17 Echo & the Bunnymen 6/7 Hozier 6/8 Governors Ball 6/20 Future Islands 6/27 Silversun Pickups 7/25 Billy Joel 8/5 Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins, etc. 8/21 The Gaslight Anthem 9/7 Bikini Kill 9/10 St. Vincent 9/13 The National, TWOD, Lucius 9/14 PULP 9/27 IDLES/The Walkmen 10/3 Brittany Howard/Michael Kiwanuka 10/4 Bleachers 10/6 Vampire Weekend 10/9 Sting
Kaytranada at Webster 5/28, Bk Steel 5/30. Webster has the club feel but leaning Bk Steel. Never been to a Kaytra headlining show - am I leaning the right way?
Incubus/311 @ Jones Beach on 8/22 which is the same day as Green Day/Fall Out Boy/Weezer @ Citi Field. Their booking agent definitely was asleep when securing that date.

Haha wow what a fuck up. Reminds me of 2013 when Lil Wayne played at Jones Beach the same night that Jay Z did Yankee Stadium and Nas did a free show at Citi Field. I went to the Wayne show and it was like a 1/3rd filled.

Big Thief at the Prospect Park bandshell on July 30. Tix on sale Friday. If anybody snags a presale code to that one and wants to share, I'd be ever so grateful.

Woah, Smashing Pumpkins are opening for Guns n Roses @ Metlife Stadium on 7/18.
Consider me there. I hope it won't be an instant sellout though.
I had a pit ticket for face (which is STILL $340 with all the fees) but through it back in the presale. This interests me a bit more but trekking to Metlife is just....such a drag. There's two days open before Boston so I'm wondering if they'll be adding a second night.

Instantly sold out (except for platinum seats). Waiting for that second night to be announced any minute now.
EDIT: Ah I'm an idiot, the on sale doesn't start until noon. I guess the map I was looking at was still for the presale.

So I pulled a non-VIP package/platinum pit ticket which came out to $340 as part of the Citi presale but threw it back. This was before the Pumpkins were announced as the opener. Given the SH GA tickets are going for around the same as face already leads me to believe that maybe this won't be as hot of a show as the last ones.

Yeah a day after the onsale and it looks like barely a 1/4th of the seats have sold. Lower bowl seats are at $150 now before fees, hoping they drop closer to $100 eventually.
