Damn I like that Afropunk lineup. Can't decide if I should go saturday for Miguel/Daniel Caesar/Lolawolf, or go sunday for Janelle Monae/Tyler/Duckwrth.

I'd do both. For $110 + fees, no one else is offering quality like this at a price point like that. Just saw Miguel at Brooklyn Steel, dude is amazing. Tyler's live show is amazing. Daniel Caesar's live show is amazing. Janelle Monáe will have new material. I'm assuming the same for Lolawolf. Those names alone pay for the price of admission and then some. The weekend is the definition of a steal

Gallant at Public Arts 4/3, National Sawdust 4/5. The guy did Bowery Ballroom and Music Hall a couple years ago so it'll be super cool to catch him at these much more intimate venues before he (probably) moves up to Brooklyn Steel/Terminal 5-sized shows. Tickets on sale this Fri

I'm kinda surprised at how bad it's selling. Her new album was amazing and there are two solid openers. I couldn't convince anyone to join me when it was first announced, but maybe now that tickets are dropping on the second hand market I can get a good pair for under $100.

I never realized how long James Murphy has been DJing until I read “Meet Me in the Bathroom.” Would love to see him DJ, especially for Despacio, one day. Have fun everyone!
