They wouldve announced boston already. No extra city has been tacked on so far and it wouldnt make sense. They openly acknowledged they couldnt fit in Chicago due to time constraints. So Boston just didnt happen..
obviously because Boston Calling booked them at the behest of tw12
Supposedly Turnstiles will be going on right at doors time (and not ticket time) for Vampire Weekend tonight and tomorrow, can someone going tonight confirm that it did happen like that so I can adjust my bedtime and wake up plan accordingly? 😴

Anyone know what time Vampire Weekend go on today?
Supposed to be 1:15, as posted on their Instagram. Turnstiles come on sometime between 11:30-11:45 and Brothers Macklovitch at 12:30. Getting ready now, lol.

We got seats a few rows behind the stage both nights and that worked out great- sight lines were clear and Ezra frequently acknowledged us. Best $41 seats ever! They must’ve rethought the “no repeats” pledge- the new songs are too good to not play again.
It’s weird getting home from a Garden concert with the sun still up, but I like this night/day double header thing. How’d you guys like it?

Wish I’d gone today instead of last night. Much better set and covers - as a Billy Joel hater, having to sit through the entirety of “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant” and then *another* Joel song during the covers section was a bit of a drag.

I didn't go last night but did go today, and I love the concept of a weekend matinee, audience was more energized I think (I know I was) and the band held up well! Proceedings probably should have started an hour later, but otherwise I think other bands should give it a go too. Was one of the best shows I've seen this year!

I’m guessing you skipped the Billy Joel cover band pre-opener?
Both VW shows were great- you got OGWAU’s best songs either way. At least last night we were spared the “Cocaine Cowboy/ Gold Rush” mashup!

Belated but I hope this matinee thing becomes more of a standard. Really enjoyed being home at 4:45 and having the Sunday evening instead of getting home at like Midnight. VW was awesome Sunday and to Jorge's point, not a huge Billy Joel fan so happy to not have to deal with that cover as well.

Also went to both. It was awesome, they were great. Thought the set list Sunday was a lot more to my tastes so had more fun. Didn’t care for cocaine cowboy but it was fine.
I have an unreasonable hatred for Joel so I went to the bathroom and got a beer during scenes from Italian restaurant. The right decision for me.
I am happy this thread contains other Billy Joel haters
Growing up on Long Island there are only 2 paths. Passionately loving or hating his music. Feels like there’s no in between.
Hahahaaaa!!!!!! This is soooo true. I grew up on Long Island and hated him when I was younger. I kinda don’t give a shit now. But I definitely got into it with people back in the day.
If you're still down with the sickness, Disturbed is playing MSG on 3/21 to celebrate 25 years of that album. Can't imagine they'll be doing any Billy Joel covers but YOU NEVER KNOW
EDIT: Three Days Grace (w/their original singer) and Sevendust opening
Really loved Fontaines at paramount Wednesday night.
They were great on Tuesday. Show was delayed by about 20 min past the intended start time due to tech issues with the synths. Hopefully your night didn’t have the same problem.

I'm not familiar with Rufus Du Sol at all, but its really cool to see they're finally utilizing that soccer stadium for concerts. It would be great if it becomes the NYC area option for all those summer ampitheater tours we always miss out on. Red Bull is right outside of Newark, so much more accessible than PNC or Jones Beach.
