1) Only "active" or potentially active acts can be drafted. If you're planning on booking a reunion, you need to demonstrate that there is a reasonable reason to believe that it could happen. (This rules out Talking Heads, for example.) An artist is considered "active" if they have had or will have public performances between 1/1/15 and 12/31/19. (This eliminates things like Rock and Roll Hall of fame performances, one-offs for benefits, awards show reunions, etc.) An artist would be considered inactive if they don't meet the live performance requirements or if there is credible documentation that an act has broken up, has no plans of touring, are focusing on other projects, does not play in this country, etc.
The iconic pop group recently confirmed that “the time feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together”. The rumour mill has been in overdrive for years, but recent weeks have seen world tours speculated and subsequently denied, with the prospect of some one-off shows now seeming more likely.
A source previously revealed that the Spice Girls are planning to perform live in a series of stand-alone shows. The insider shared: “Given the family situations, committing to a gruelling mega world tour was always a tough ask. When they got back together this month to discuss reforming, a mammoth tour was dismissed by the majority. But performing together again certainly wasn’t, so the idea of playing a few huge shows in various cities was one that received the most interest.
My main issue with this pick is this: Although I understand the rule 1 (and the portion highlighted by cdevaney), I don't think the sources Jaz provided are convincing enough. NME is like a tabloid these days, and the other websites does not seem credible to me.
Having said that, I don't care about the outcome of this poll.

From what I've read, it's seems like nobody really knows what exactly is going on with them, but there's definitely something brewing. With the way the rule is written, it appears that Jaz just has to prove potential for shows rather than actual shows. It feels like a lower bar, but it's what the rule seems to be.

In impeccable timing for yours truly, Mel B has essentially confirmed today that the Spice Girls will be performing at the Royal Wedding.
That show seems to be a special concert, not a public one you can buy tickets to. Doesn't count.
Website doesn't matter; the video is of a Spice Girl. That's about as credible a source as it gets. Are you saying that the Spice Girls actually reuniting and performing does not meet the requirement "could potentially reunite"?

I think Royal Wedding falls under "etc."
I concede that point. This wasn't your argument before though. This is just a refutation of new evidence. Spell it out for me: why do you think it is unreasonable that the Spice Girls would reunite? Because that's the bar I have to meet - that it's reasonable to believe that they would reunite.

The "etc." is for using dates between 1/1/15 and 12/31/19 to determine if an act is active. In this case, he's arguing that there is "a reasonable reason to believe it could happen." (I really regret using the phrase "reasonable reason," btw.) It supports the previous statements that not only do they intend to get together to play shows, they are already set to reunite for this event.

I already expressed myself, so I'm not gonna repeat it again. Consider "Royal Wedding" point as an addition to my argument.
Also what I think is unimportant as I'm not the only one who voted.

Alternate : "The results of this poll don't matter because nobody gives a shit about The Spice Girls."

And if it's not clear yet, I'm not doing any work today.
We're waiting for the contractors to make the lab ready so that we can start doing experiments, and I finished reading *almost* all the papers related to my project. So...
