I really don’t get why people love to hate on this fest in here. If the Coachella lineup or headliners are “down” or “not good” then it pretty much always means bad stuff for the rest of the festival season. We should be rooting for very strong Coachella’s and the rest of the festival season to ride that wave. And this is coming from someone who has never been to Coachella
Same reason why people love to hate on the Yankees, Patriots and Trump. The best in the game always take all the potshots.
Just replace Trump with the Warriors and the reference is fine. Also, JT is a bit risky of a pick to headline, he'll already have been through the area 4 times in the previous year and his latest LP produced zero hits. Wasn't it less than 6 months ago on here that everyone was ripping how cheesy he has become?
Gambino would be a killer headliner though, hopefully the album delivers.

If JT is confirmed confirmed that's a huge miss after (1) MOTW and (2) you have a chance to bring back Drake, no matter how bad his 2015 set was (disclosure: I enjoyed his set at GovBall 2015.) Just watch clips of his surprise Wireless headlining set; he should be a no-brainer. The dud that is High As Hope should really cool the talk of Florence in a headliner capacity though she'd probbbly take nothing less. Also, Rihanna is working on new music. She's perfect for this

Drake hasn’t put out a solid album since 2015 so let’s just stop that right in its tracks. Guy stopped trying because of streaming era tactics and it’s painfully obvious. 67 songs in 3 years and not even a third are listenable outside of the albums’ month long release hype window.

Okay but what's your point? The Weeknd flopped with Starboy. Eminem hasn't put out a good album since 2002. Calvin Harris. Artpop was a step down from Born This Way for Gaga. They've shown critical acclaim has almost nothing to do with a headlining spot

Okay because they are duds, and yeah I'm talking up Drake as a much better alternative to JT. For 2019 they'd be stupid to choose JT if Drake can be had

The slightest possibility of even having an *NSYNC reunion spot during a JT set is a better choice than Drake every time. This isn’t about selling tickets. This is about media attention. Drake’s redemption set will have to wait.

The fact that in 2018 people actually think JT is a better choice than Drake is laughable. You wanna claim media attention over ticket sales? Everything the fucking guy does gets covered. And yes, booking JT over Drake is a huge miss. There's no debate who the bigger draw is
