Florence is fine, but she has been a 4th headliner or lower at most every music festival she has played over the past few touring cycles, and her new album is good but far from her best. Her current tour is selling pretty horribly and has some really big name openers at some of the stops, such as Seattle where she is playing with St. Vincent and over 65% of the arena is unsold. I think shed be more likely to be a sub in 2019
budwieser broke up with made in america and now gets coachella? its like going from the ugliest girl in the school to the hottest
they wanted stagecoach more than coachella; the two just came side by side. theyve been making major pushes away from sponsoring multigenre and into country. country music fans spend way more on beer
Awful opinions. Florence is basically the second coming of Annie Lennox. Only I would argue she has already surpassed Lennox. She is unquestionably nothing but pure raw talent. Doesnt need to rely on production to have a live performance that shakes the earth with nothing but her voice. She is a legend in her prime, that people will be listening to and other artists will be inspired by for decades. Nothing "boring" about that and any festival that books her is lucky.

I can't wait to drink the amazing Budweiser at Coachella.
you'll be even happier enjoying your beverage in the Budweiser Beverage Usage Isolation Booth™, a new mandatory alcohol consumption experience at Coachella which gives you the freedom to drink alone in a light and sound proof box.

Now I'm sure Florence isn't playing.
Her recent singles clearly indicate she is not in her prime.
edit: guess she's playing Govball instead

personally hoping the 3rd day will be Tame Impala and Florence + the Machine coheadlining but who knows, they havent had coheadliners since 2013
I could def fuck with this. As much as I want the #3 to be big, I'm okay with it being someone not too expensive if it improves the sub selection. I'm in on Gambino and JT so if they can get Vampire Weekend and a couple other "bigger" subs then that'd make up for the light top 3 for me.

I really like Florence but I noticed this as well and am actually a bit surprised. I'm gonna wait to get my Chicago tickets until the week of because there are so many open ones right now, I'm sure I can get them below face. The HBHBHB tour sold very well at the shitty amphitheater we have in Tinley Park, then she gets an arena show on a Friday night and it's crickets. That being said the new album is a step down, even though I still enjoy a handful of songs.

Yeah but you can imagine her with $50k worth of lazers???????

that album had some massive hits, and its also a lot easier to sell out a weekend Tinley Park Amphitheater show than United Center. Lot of the summer amphitheater is there to hang with friends, enjoy the weather, and tailgate. Live Nation also sells a ton of season pass type tickets for the entire season of shows at those Amphitheaters. United Center is more of a committed fans only show

Don’t really think there’s much of an argument anymore...if Flo is booked she’s a headliner. Not questioning if she has the talent for the slot or not, but the combination of her previous Coachella bookings, her current booking at other fests, and the serious push to have talented female acts at the top of lineups kinda mean she’s gotta headline if she’s there.

I think the main problem with Florence is over saturation. She JUST did a missive tour 2 years, plus many festivals dates. Everyone who wanted to see her has.

I was just arguing that she isn't boring and is an amazing talent. Agreed that her draw is slipping, FYF booked her and then they went out of business.
