close but not quite has been on spotify for a while, pretty good stuff.
Another guy claiming new Tool in May, this time on Reddit:
"There's no way I can prove this, as I've built a name and career for myself that I'm absolutely not willing to risk. You'll have to take my word for it.
"The new Tool album will be out in May of this year. The vocals are finished, and the band is very far ahead of schedule. It's obvious that doing new APC music has motivated Maynard, as the whole vocal process took less than two weeks.
"There will be 13 songs, a few of which are under ten minutes, but the majority are LONG...If you thought the packaging for 10,000 Days was over the top, you are in for a treat. That's all I'll say.
"The song that we know as Ascending is on there, but it's paired with two other songs and is definitely the least interesting of the trio (although it's still great–think Parabol/a). It's followed by a song called Descending, and a third called Innocence.
"The first single will be the title track–it will be out at the end of April."
I'm pretty sure the new song they've been playing live is the one called Descending. Some in the comments mentioned this as well. I guess he could have gotten those mixed up whether he was lying or not. I don't know.
"On Tuesday morning, The Voidz released their first single in nearly four years, titled “Leave It in My Dreams,” from the follow-up to their acclaimed debut Tyranny.
Beyond the single release, the band’s sophomore album titled Virtue has a release date of March 30, according to a listing on Amazon."
"DJ Koze's next album, Knock Knock, will come out on Pampa May 4, 2018.
The 16-track LP is Stefan Kozalla's first since 2013's Amygdala. We're told it "came together slowly and steadily" with "no master plan." Kozalla, not one to shy away from collaboration, enlisted help from a number of guest artists—the album features vocals from Bon Iver, Róisín Murphy, Mano Le Tough, Sophia Kennedy (who put out an album on Pampa last year) and US rapper Speech (of Arrested Development fame). It'll be available on vinyl, as both a standard double-pack and a limited-edition boxset, and on CD. The cover photo is by photographer Gepa Hinrichsen."

"German producer George FitzGerald, who released his debut album Fading Love in 2015, is set to release LP#2, titled All That Must Be, on March 9 via Domino/Double Six. The album features collaborations with Bonobo, Tracey Thorn (who has a new album), and Hudson Scott, while the first single, “Roll Back,” is a collaboration with fellow electronic producer and vocalist Lil Silva. George had this to say about the collaboration:
“Roll Back” is a sad song, but there was a lot of joy in making it with Lil Silva. Late night sessions in London and Bedford. Empty trains and night buses home. Things just clicked perfectly in the studio.
The track shows George playing to his strengths, blending his electronic influences with a more personal singer-songwriter touch, thanks to Lil Silva’s soft vocal delivery. You can watch the official video for the single, and view the album’s artwork and tracklist, below.
George and his live band will be embarking on tour around Europe and North America this spring, which includes a stop at NYC’s Rough Trade on May 19."

This flew under the radar for me at the end of 2017, but the RSXGLD self-titled album is a fantastic hip hop record. Recommended if you're into DJ Premier, Joey Bada$$, Big KRIT, Royce da 5'9, etc.
"Drummer Canty and bassist Lally formed The Messthetics alongside guitarist Anthony Pirog in 2016, marking the first time Fugazi’s rhythm section has played together since going on hiatus in 2002."
