So much hype that they're sticking with their original plan. I never thought this was the type of show that could run for twelve seasons, so I'm glad that they aren't trying to make it that even though I'm sure internal and external pressure was there for it.
In a lot of ways it's like the office, in that the main focus has always been the central relationship, and once that's resolved it would probably fall apart if they were just getting whacky with no end point
Doesn't the American Horror Story team use a lot of the same actors and shoot a different show every season? I'd love it Schur & Co continued in an entirely new iteration. They're all so good.

It's way better than stretching it out, having cast members or showrunner leave and get replaced. As much as I love Community and The Office (and they're two all time favorites of mine) you can't deny that they lost a big of magic over the years with those kinds of things.
Glad it will get a proper ending that Schur wanted to do. Definitely on the lookout for what he makes next and what all these people do next.

I love that they're going to end it the way it was always intended to end. I will totally miss spending time in the bizzaro world they've created though. So with that in mind, I DEMAND a web series spinoff for Maya Rudolph's Judge character. I'd watch her riff on that for hours, occasionally have Ted Danson drop by. It'll be great.

Yeah and they also had some really bad seasons
Huh. It feels like that show is always winning awards.
I'm glad they're ending it on their terms, but will be sad to see it go. I have rewatched so many times, it's wonderful. New Veronica Mars is coming out so I'll get my Bell fix. Can't wait to watch this wrap up.
Brief aside the new show following the good place Sunnyside was surprisingly funny for a comedy pilot. Plot wise it is essentially Community. Most comedies don't make it so I hope it stays good and I hope you watch it. Definitely some great new to me comic actors on there as well.

"Dead eyes, eat hearts, can't lose.".
- the bad places motto.
Yet another great take on the Friday night lights phrase from a Schur comedy.
Also great joke having the Jars 4 Kids jingle be their theme song.
I'm going to miss this show but i feel like long term it will age better than office and parks which have plenty of people who thought they should have wrapped up sooner.

Just saw the theory that Michael was replaced at the end of episode one and may be revealed as Vicky in her Michael suit at some point. Or any demon in a Michael suit.
On one level it could work since Eleanor thinks that he fakes his nervous breakdown just to push her (but maybe that's just something fake Michael didn't know about).
On another level, it would make that whole sweet moment between Michael and Eleanor be part of a truck which would be lame.

as much as i loved everyone being back in the "good" place for the first few episodes, I'm really looking forward to Jason and Michael's adventure into the bad place. I hope Jason actually punches Sean.
Side note Jason looked clean as hell in his suit at the end. Dude is a straight up hunk.
