Not exactly a hungover day watching Erykah, Brandi and Foo Fighters coming after Jazz Fest yesterday which was The Who and late Disco Biscuits. Sniff. But ima get some jams in.
^^ I don’t know most of the lineup but there is some cool shit. Let me know when you find a schedule.
Disco Biscuits are running last year’s jazz fest night 2 show on rewind and recline on YouTube. It ended up being my 3rd favorite show of the year behind GnR Voodoo and Phish Fathers Day Bonnaroo. That was mostly due to the second set where they knuckled down (first set got some hate for wastedness but w/e).
Set 2 Run Like Hell > I Feel Love > Crickets 1 > Barfly > House Dog Party Favor E1 Mr. Don 2 > Run Like Hell 1 inverted 2 unfinished
It’s set break right now for about 25 minutes. Set 2 is worth it af.

God they sound so good. I understand the hype behind this particular show. Was it the debut of the IR songs as well?
The tour was to debut IR songs. They had already done a month in Europe prior to coming to north america so there were recordings of em all at that point.
Tallest Man on Earth has his 5th livestream on YouTube tonight. I don’t know what the theme is because I haven’t caught up yet. Kristian started these a month ago while sheltering in place near Finger Lakes in upstate New York. While the two YouTube streams I have watched were highly enjoyable he does have some freeze issues with the stream (especially during The Wild Hunt album play/discussion episode) and rambles a bit while reading the chat stream and tuning his guitar or banjo between songs. This might annoy the casual fan. Even if you’re not a huge Tallest Man on Earth fan you might like his Covers episode in which he covers Neutral Milk, Bon Iver, VW, and many others.
I gotta mostly stay home this weekend back in New Orleans, so I'm going to try to catch a couple shows. Freedia is on at 8 every Friday from the Republic on YouTube, Facebook and Twitch. Mannie Fresh is on later too and Maddy O'Neal is on twitch at 11. J said Cheese was doing an '01 show from Austin tonight and Dead & Co. is doing the NOLA 2018 show tomorrow. Since that was a Top 2 show for me last year, I'm probably going to try to catch a little bit. Shitloads of EDM on all weekend too, so maybe I'll catch a set or two of that.
Partying down with set 2 of the 2/18 Dead and Co show from the SKC which ended up #2 on my list for the year (NIN). Anamanaguchi was solid on Porter’s stream earlier. We will probably catch Porter and G Jones later.

Hell yeah, thanks for mentioning this. I just tuned in as the stream was ending but have it up on rewind now. Sugaree to close S1 and then Scarlet > Fire > Truckin' to open S2 is a great run.

Yeah. We were pretty blasted for that. I missed the 80 show because I was too young and the early 80’s Saenger multi hour shows for no reason at all but being an hour away at college and not having a car. I didn’t go to the sparse Bonnaroo (16?) that they closed although from anyone I ever talked to, the Sunday sets were badass. From our family, my oldest two went so even though I grew up sometimes listening to them and knowing Deadheads and all, they saw them before I did. Gramatik had a show at The Joy that night and ended up changing it from 10 until midnight to be the unofficial Dead & Co afterparty and I managed to survive that too which was also a great show.
FWIW Madeon closing out with the Clash Stand by Me edit was kind of cool. Porter is decent so far but G Jones will probably be the best show or Secret Sky even if it’s only 30 minutes
Oh yeah, I caught it in during the GPJ guest jam at the end of set 1. As a New Orleanian, I’d always say he represents us as well as anyone can.
