The more I look at this lineup the more I really dislike it. ☹️ So many shitty electronic acts taking up prime estate. And then the other acts they did book are just.... bland and not to my personal taste. I count thirteen acts that I'm excited for 😩 I'm thinking about Governors Ball instead, methinks
Made a quick list of acts I would at least stop by to watch if I went on first glance:
U2, Chance, Lorde, The Xx, Travis Scott, Big Gigantic (maybe), Future Islands, Tory Lanez (guilty pleasure), ehhhh maybe Crystal Castles, Car Seat, DRAM, James Vincent McMorrow, Francis, BBNG, Front Bottoms, Coin.
Jesus, that's worse than I thought, considering I've seen Big G, Chance, Future and BBNG. A total of 11 acts for me without them. Not even any that are all that spectacular.
Acts 4-15 (2014): Lionel Richie Vampire Weekend Avett Brothers Phoenix Skrillex Arctic Monkeys Frank Ocean Flaming Lips Nick Cave Kaskade Damon Albarn Neutral Milk Hotel
Acts 4-15 (2017): Chance The Rapper Major Lazer Flume Lorde The xx Travis Scott Martin Garrix Cage The Elephant Marshmello The head and the heart Big Gigantic Glass Animals

Saw Travis Scott open for Juicy J a couple years back. That dude absolute Hot trash. The fact that he is on the second line speaks to the terribleness of this lineup.
May Tycho May Phoenix June Rooo July MMJ and Margo Price August Queen with Adam Lambert August Roger Waters (Bucket list #1) August Spoon and Portugal the man Sept Depeche Mode Sept Pilgrimage Fest

Case closed.
Chance may by the only bigger name rapper I am excited for and I don't even like him as much as a lot of others do. Was reallllly hoping for Schoolboy Q or at the very least, Danny Brown! Flatbush Zombies & Noname are good too but.. meh.
Aaron Lee Tasjan - forgettable alt/folk/indie/whatever this kind of musical umbrella this falls under now.
Welles - I can't even find this band/DJ/whatever it is.
Ganja White Night - great, more generic dubstep. Holy shit this is boring. It sounds like they started writing a song then just gave up halfway through.
Innanet James - Not the worst. Makes sense he's on the bottom line, but I don't mind it.
Lukas Nelson - I guess this would be cool if I was sitting on a wooden porch on the beach drinking watered down pina coladas with some 50 year olds.
Alexandra Savior - Kinda reminded me of Twin Sister, huskier female vocals, but the live performance isn't exactly mindblowing stuff. Considering this will likely be at 4:00PM, not sure how it'll translate.
10/19/14-Phantogram
11/29/14-New Politics, Bad Suns
4/17/15-Hippo Campus, Night Riots, The Mowglis
5/1/15-Penn State Movin' On Music Festival-New Politics, Passion Pit, Big Gigantic, Big Sean
6/11/15-6/14/15-Bonnaroo!
6/21/15 - Paul McCartney
6/27/15-Halsey, Imagine Dragons
honestly the lineup is okay, i don't think it's terrible. the only reason i wouldn't go is if my friends all bailed. that being said, the electronic music is so bad. they booked every artist i hate about edm except for claude, haywyre, and flume(who has been everywhere).. how the fuck did they strike out on pretty lights?
this group of the top 4 bundled up with the generic EDM they got will sell tickets, definitely more than last year
Someone pointed out there was not comedy and no late night indications so I'm thinking those will each be separate announcements to come later. Not saying they will save this trash but perhaps there are a couple decent names that previously would have been put out there already that are being held back for that instead. (Like "The Avalanches" would be a decent start)

Interesting that the lineup on Bonnaroo dot com is missing a bunch of stuff from the one in the press. Or is Garrix the only one? Judging more off spacing than side by side

Big Jesus - Okay, the drum mix is terrible, but this sounds like pre-pubescent Deftones. "Hey brah, wanna come check out my garage band, we're playing at The Pit cover's only $8 man"
Twin Limb - This girl sounds extremely like Regina Spektor. And is actually solid live. First of them I'd really want to see.
Wilderado - Yawn.
Lemon Twigs - This guy does not have nipples I would care to see in person. If you could make Conor Oberst even worse than he is, it would be this singer. This is like the 21 Pilots equivalent of Bright Eyes.
"Year of the dubstep mosh pit" ft OOkay, Yellow Claw, Borgore, Getter, Snails. But don't worry, after those mosh pits Major Lazer will have you running from one side of the field to the other as you take your shirts off and stand on one leg.
