Memphis has a place on Beale street called Dyer's. Their burgers are greasy but delicious, and go perfect after a night of drinking on Beale.
Back in 1912, the late Elmer "Doc" Dyer opened his own cafe and began to develop a secret cooking process for the uniquely delicious world famous burgers we still serve here today on Beale Street. Legend has it that the "secret" was Doc Dyer's ageless cooking grease. This famous grease , strained daily, has continued to produce our juicy Dyer's Burgers for almost a century now. One of "Doc's" original employees, Mr. Kahn Aaron bought the establishment in 1935 and continued the Dyer's name and tradition of famous burgers. The Dyer's legacy continues to this day. Over the years, this famous cooking grease has been transported to our various Memphis locations under the watchful protection of armed police escorts, finally settling here on Historic Beale Street, Home of the Blues and World Famous Dyer's!
That sounds like there better be a bathroom real close after eating there.
I'm not worried about how I look or who cares, I just don't enjoy the feeling of having food all over my hands/face/clothes when I eat.
Plus wings kind of gross me out, the meat to bone ratio is just not worth it. And all those tendons and things people can just chomp down with no problem? They ick me out.
*Edit* That said, if chocolate or ice cream is involved, all bets are off.
I like a medium burger with bacon and crumbly bleu. Onion straws are pretty great, too. If there is no crumbly bleu, and frequently there isn't, then extra sharp cheddar or pepper jack are solid choices.
As far as fast food, I have no access to In & Out but hope to try it someday. Fingers crossed that it's better than the 2016-level letdown that was White Castle.
Five Guys is good but a bit pricey for the quality of the product.
My vote is for Red Robin. They have good burgers - especially the A1 Peppercorn Burger - but I dislike virtually every other food item on their menu (eg, their fries & onion rings).
I'm so hungry right meow. Especially between this thread and the people holding a meeting in our building just having pizza delivered...and everything on campus still being closed.
I have a banana.
yeah we started whole 30 on 1/1/17, and this thread is reminding me that whole 30 is for stupid losers and i'm a loser if i stay on it.
I feel your pain, brah. I'm on day six of my Whole30 and I am having the sugar withdrawal headaches today like you wouldn't believe. Why are we doing this to ourselves?!?
I also had a dream last night that I ate pizza. It was glorious.
