A guy on Facebook apparently saw the schedule briefly leak on the app, and he claims Kendrick and LCD do NOT conflict.
That's good to know. Possibilities are that LCD is on Le Plur with a Galantis closeout, they conflict with Prophets of Rage, or they play the main stage before Kendrick and put Prophets of Rage on one of the other stages delivering the 1-2-3 punch that kicks lots of ass on lots of bigger festivals.
So the guy on facebook who said Kendrick and LCD don't conflict wasn't basing his comments on a view of the actual schedule, but on the order of the artists as listed in the app.
His assumption is that since the artists are listed as such:
that since LCD is lower on the list that they will perform in a non-closing slot. This means nothing, but it is telling that on Sat/Sun the artists are listed in a logical order in what we would assume are the Le Plur/Main stage closers:
Still sad about having to skip this one I rly wanted to make it work but I'd pretty much have to roll out solo bc everyone I know are pussies
If you need a crew to cut down on expenses, I understand. But actually being at a festival by yourself is fantastic. You get to do whatever you want without consulting your entire group.

If schedule order w/ no times is right, it would go LCD main, Prophets of Rage v Afghan Whigs (crying) other stages, Kendrick vs Galantis. Ideal as fuck except I wouldn't be able to see Afghan Whigs which this was kind of a must go tribute set. RL could conflict with Brand New or Foo Fighters on Saturday. Sunday looks like a weak spot after head and heart with Miguel, Post Malone and Louis the Child. I don't listen to PM though some people like him and Miguel as well. But eh on that particular time slot. After that I'm sure I could have fun at Killers or Dillon Francis.

Miguel is easily the best of those options as far as a good show goes
Wow, PoR @ Tips? That will be miserably packed out. Protip: At sold out shows at Tips you can always post up inside the photobooth. Just meanmug any woo-girls that try to run you out.
Oh, so guys, I just wanted to let y'all know I finally checked out Kendrick last night. I started with To Pimp A Butterfly since I like the musicians on that album.
Geeeeeezus, that album is so good. I honestly don't care for rap very much, especially current stuff, but that album blew me away. I will be d/l'ing his discography today. Hadn't liked a rap/hiphop album that much since Chronic 2001 or Dr. Octagonencologyist.
He has such a unique style but also had that early 90's Compton vibe I grew up listening to. I bet that live band show @ the Civic or wherever a couple years back for this album was badass.
So easy to hang on what he's saying compared to all this mumble BS that is popular today.

Yeah man Kendrick is stunningly good. And while I like a lot of mumble rap, Kendrick's clarity, precision, and lyrical content are a breath of fresh air. I think you'll also dig his previous album, "good kid maad city".
IDK. The said today. Here is the order per the app though not with schedule

Yeah that definitely makes having to bail on this sting a bit. If there's any excuse for LCD not playing in the dark it's having them play at sunset before Kendrick Lamar. Hope y'all have a fucking blast
Friday Alfred Banks ** Chicano Batman ** Bleached/Marian Hill ** ** Mondo Cozmo ** JOYRYDE/Benjamin Booker ** ** Mondo Cozmo (Tent) ** LCD Soundsystem ** Prophets of Rage ** (have seen all in their respective groups) Kendrick Lamar
Saturday Black Pistol Fire ** Pell ** Colony House ** The Black Angels ** Rich Chigga ** Black Pistol Fire (Toyota) ** LIVE ** The Black Angels (Toyota) ** Brand New ** RL Grime/Vintage Trouble Foo Fighters
Sunday Mannequin Pussy ** Malik Ninety Five ** Ron Gallo ** Cold War Kids > G. Jones ** (have seen G. Jones) Amine' ** The Head and the Heart Miguel ** Dillon Francis/The Killers (have seen Dillon Francis)
** = Have not seen
Definitely not the most stacked of all times, but a chance to see a bunch of shit I haven't seen yet plus Friday and Saturday Nights are pretty ridiculous.
also pretty stoked Dillon Francis is during The Killers. I can have fun at Dillon Francis, I would have been unable to have fun at Galantis.
krisplettuce will be pissed off with you. However, I agree. At the same time, we already knew they were Friday. And there wasn't any way I was missing Kendrick this time. I have seen him before, but last time he was playing where I was, I was mostly back in my tent at VIP Bonnaroo 2015 for the set. I came out about halfway through and made my way in. It was still great and sounded great in the campground, but I'll need to see this.
My only issue is Afghan Whigs. With the recent death of New Orleans resident Dave Rosser, this was going to be a particularly great show. I figured if he was up to it (and still alive), he would have been there with them even if not playing. I can't miss Prophets, but maybe I can sneak over there for 5 minutes or something.
Y'all are fucking crazy/naive and obviously have never been to Voodoo fest if you don't think that LCD will be on Le Plur at the same time that Kendrick is kicking it on the Alter stage. That is what is going down kiddos.
So after telling everyone I'm missing Voodoo because of the ridiculous VIP price hike, I found myself booking a cheap one way ticket from NOLA to Philadelphia (Philly to NOLA ain't cheap right now) and a deja ticket to The Struts after show on Friday. The schedule works out well for me to get back to the Quarter during Kendrick's show. I could stop myself. I'm weak.
