Thank you! Im sure the air conditioned lounges will be the savior during the day
That was one of my favorite things. I'd get overheated and just pop into the VIP lounge and take a breather. It was nice to have shows playing on the screens in there so I didn't feel like I was missing anything while trying to keep myself from passing out.

Thanks I really needed to hear this. Is it pretty confortable in there during the day and not too crowded? Im sure I will want to run around to shows during the day and would feel much better if my lady had a relaxing place to take refuge from the heat

It stays pretty full, but I always found a spot to sit, even if it was on the floor. The only times it got crazy were during free beer and ice cream.
As Official Camp Dad and Organizer for Camp Sparklefart 2, I officially am way to excited already.
That makes two of us, I've already ticked the majority of items of my essentials list. I'm already pretty much down to a shit load of el wire, and more path lights so that this year we can have a proper entrance to the sacred domain of the sparklefart

This will be my second Roo, but first VIP experience for me and my group! We are so excited and can't wait to join all of your lovely faces!! See you on the farm!!
Second Roo, first VIP. I feel like I'm going from one extreme to another in terms of experience and $$.
Questions: Approximately how many people are in VIP camping? Even split between tents and RVs? Generally how long is the walk to/from Centeroo?
Thanks! Looking forward to seeing you all on the Farm.
Not sure how many people in VIP, but I would say on the average getting into centeroo will take 10-20 minutes depending on where you are camped. And that is really just walking time to the entrances... there really is no line to get in or out. It's one of the main reasons why I love VIP.

You stand up in the morning, stretch, and have a defined view of what stage / field. You're a stones throw from the entrance, and security takes around as long as it takes to walk twenty five feet. I think it is safe to assume they sell between 1000 and 2000 VIP spots, though you'll hardly notice their presence compared to the sea of GA. It is expensive, I hear ya, and I hope you find the investment appropriate. After doing GA for a few years, I feel like I've found a whole new take on roo with the VIP approach.
After some back and forth it looks like tealeyedangel and I will be back in VIP again this year. The bathrooms and Which pit will sell me on it every time lol!

My husband and I will be first time 'Rooers and just bought our VIP tix. So excited to be going and hope to meet some of you fine folks! Gonna go scour the thread for "good-to-knows."
Am I safe to wait until March to buy VIP tickets? I read somewhere that they quit selling VIP, but did not see a date.
I think VIP usually takes a little while to sell out, and with the crowded festival scene I'd imagine that would be the case again this year. The secondary market for VIP tics also isn't bad. The first two years I went VIP, in 08 and 09, I got them for less than face value that way.
9 times at the Farm in GA, going VIP for my 10th. Looking forward to: Less wait to get in -- Have gotten screwed spending all nite in line last 2 years, getting in just before dawn. 2 years ago there was a fatal crash, last year ??? Have forgotten what it is like to not be awake for the first 40 or so hours of my Roo experience. Which Stage pit -- yes, please. Air-Conditioned Bathrooms -- Port-o-Ovens suck.
The only bad thing about VIP RV, is the generator exhaust. All those generators, breathing all that can't be good for you. Last year my carbon monoxide detector kept going off and I wasn't even running mine!
I'm campaigning for VIP RVers to use the Genturi Exhaust Venting system
This puts the exhaust up high instead of your neighbors face, I saw two last year, I hope all or nearly all of us RV owners use one from now on. We can give the renters a pass, but I sure hope my neighbor has one this year.
Can't wait for VIP this time around. 3rd time really is a charm. I'll be rollin in 7AM sharp Thursday morning having a beer in the car and won't have slept a minute after driving 12 hours. So. Stoked.
This will be the first Bonaroo experience for my brother and I. We figured if we're going to go all the way to Manchester, we might as well do it right. So, we jumped on the VIP passes when the presale went up. Really looking forward to the trip. It can't get here fast enough!
Thursday show is typically Funk, Brass, or anything you can dance to that appeals to a broad audience. Kind of hit or miss. That said, it is usually a ton of fun. Don't count on the free beer though. This will be my 9th year, and I am always amazed at the line of people waiting for beer when they have their own beer 100 ft away at their campsite.

Free beer or my beer... I'll be in a wastey wonderland

Also each time I walked up last year (my limited VIP experience) I was almost immediately handed two cups of decent beers. There was a line for the food, but the swill was at the ready
