Each week I wonder if its possible for me to care less about this album. I think we're hit a new low lol.
Those first 6 albums were really special though. We'll always have the good times.
I really enjoyed act 1 of Jeen-Yuhs. Even having complicated, mostly negative feelings about Kanye now I can't help but feel something when him and Mos Def do "Two Words" acapella or he raps the first verse of "Family Business" for Scarface in 2002.

I have no interest in dunking on Kanye for anything but his subpar musical output post-2016. I wish he'd take a long break, get some sorely needed help, and divest himself of the vultures around him who have no problem enabling and prolonging this type of stuff because it helps raise their profile and line their pockets.

Part 1 of Jeen-Yuhs was a good watch. From what I've read, Parts 1 and 2 are about his come-up pre-College Dropout, while Part 3 kinda skips to present-day Kanye, more or less commenting on his mental-health state and the way it's affected the people around him, namely Coodie, the documentarian. Interesting timing.
I've never had much trouble separating the art from the artist. I loved Donda and appreciate it more every listen, something that didn't really click with Life of Pablo for me. I don't know what the correct answer here is, other than the mental health thing being likened to drug addiction. The guy's behavior is reprehensible and he needs to be held accountable. It's just tragic that he's not getting the help he needs because of the people making gains off his name. Gives me anxiety thinking maybe something really bad could happen to him or Kim or Pete with unchecked behavior like this and how big his platform is.
Counterpoint: I have a family member with an unchecked mental illness who acts in very similar ways to this. And it’s excruciating to watch and excruciating to live through. We know what kind or person they’re capable of being with treatment but they just refuse to do it.
Mental illness is not an excuse, but it’s a reason some people act this way, no different than addiction being an illness that causes some people to behave in a destructive manner. I can’t help but have some empathy for the guy, much more so for Kim and his kids and everyone around him who has to live with this, but some for him too
I also have a close family member who behaves similarly to Kanye when off their meds, or when their meds need adjustment, and I can confirm it's heartbreaking all around. And it's a very fine line to walk trying to help an adult who needs help, usually know they need help, but don't want to come down from the "good" feelings they're feeling. Like many creatives I think it's quite possible that he goes off his meds when he's in creative mode, as medication can certainly dull that side of things.
If you have a mental illness and don't act like him, or don't have a mental illness and see it as a flimsy excuse, consider yourself lucky. It's important to remember that everyone has different levels and combinations of illness/symptoms/coping mechanisms, even if they have similar illnesses.
My heart definitely goes out to Kim and their kids.
Apparently there might be diff streams and the heartbeat one is actually his heart. But who tf knows. Amazon Musics Twitch channel also has the heartbeat stream for the moment.
From the looks of photos, everyone is fashionably late and not in their seats. Might get lucky and it starts in an hour.

God saved me from that crash Just so I can beat Pete Davidson's ass (Who?) And my new bitch bad I know Illuminati mad This that Newminati, bitch This that two Bugatti rich This that "God did this" Only God did this
God Gonna Post My Bail Tonight could be the theme for the religious right. Act poorly and without fear, redemption awaits. Also funny to see him and Manson walking around to that.
Hope you Coachella people get something as visually stimulating as all this though.

Idk why I thought that we were going to be walked through his full career. A jump from College Dropout straight to Donda blows. I was wondering why more people weren’t like through the roof excited for this thing but now it makes sense.

you can blame that on Kanye cutting the filmmaker out for a full 17 years
