The new Tallest Man on Earth album is fantastic. Reeeaally hoping he's back this year! The new MMJ album is pretty good, going to take a couple more listens, but I know I'll end up loving it. Some good live potential on there. The new Lord Huron miiight be better than their first album. Has lots of great live potential. Really hoping they return! Even though I know they're out, the new Mumford & Sons album is actually pretty good. Really looking forward to see them perform some of the tunes live!
This has been your album update.
I'm loving the new MMJ Currently listening to Tallest Man but I'm very much enjoying it right now Lord Huron's album only suffers from the amount of songs that sound like the last album, but they're still great and it has enough variation to make it great I'll hopefully be seeing Mumford tomorrow in NYC so I'll report back on my feelings for that. I've heard that Believe is one of the worst songs on the album which gives me hope
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I initially thought this was about the MMJ song "Believe" on their new album and was about to go all
The funny thing is, Believe is also the worst song on the new MMJ album
I'd agree but I'd call it the least good song. Worst has a negative connotation and it's definitely not a bad song. Mumford's Believe though...
Also the Lord Huron announcement is great even though it wasn't really unexpected.
This is the point in the lineup where I have to start thinking about whose sets I might end up missing.Last year I did a lot of hopping around but I tend to enjoy seeing 5-7 full sets rather than a bunch of half sets
Also, I'm considering a 9 hour trip just for Friday at this point. Although, I'd assume Watkins Family Hour is a Quad Stage closer, which would put them in conflict with the other 2 acts I am most excited to see that day (Iron & Wine/Ben and MMJ if that happens).
Okay... just brainstorming ideas here. Do you all fly into Providence? Does anyone fly into Boston? (EDIT: Nevermind, I thought Boston was closer). I could potentially do 14 hour trains each way...

Thanks to Facebook, I just found out that Watkins Family Hour is putting out an album this summer. And taking their thing on tour. (Album is actually coming out July 24!)

Providence is much closer - but boston is cheaper - someone would go get you either way. You can usually also look at hartford and catch a ride from one of our CT or Ma peeps. come up thursday, home monday and the ticket thing will work itself out. You can also check with Jordan - not clear if she is driving out solo or with the Mr.

If you want to look into trains to springfield to i could pick you up and drive you to newport if the timing works
Ok i'm a true believer that delta spirit and or middle brother are playing
They just announced a major tour with a bunch of east coast dates. Studying them for clues of a NFF appearance were inconclusive. The dates were indeed free, but it'd be a squeeze.
Friday: MMJ Saturday: The Decemberists Sunday: Old Crow Medicine Show
The OCMS tour route is as suspicious as the MMJ tour route.
I'd be sort of surprised if they brought back a headliner from 2011, 2012, and 2013. Seems a little too soon for Old Crow to be back. I agree with your Friday & Saturday though.
My thoughts are: Friday: MMJ Saturday: Decemberists Sunday: Dylan
My dream is: Friday: Paul Simon Saturday: Decemberists Sunday: Paul Simon & Friends
