Anyone going to live on the green tonight? I thought music started at 4 and my girlfriend and I are just sitting here lmao
Going to be down there soon, but to go to The House of Cards for birthday dinner.
There is a shit ton to do downtown. Walk down Broadway. Then down Second. Go into some of the shops. Grab a bite at The Diner or Bakersfield Tacos. Or go hit up a food truck. They will be there at LOTG soon. Get a sandwich at The Grilled Cheeserie. You won't be disappointed.
Go to the Goo Goo store. And the Johnny Cash museum across the street. Walk by the Ryman. Sit on the steps. Feel the power of the mother church of music.

I’m in downtown Nashville for the next four days, any must do’s I should know about?
See something at the Ryman. Avoid scooters. Eat lunch at Arnold’s during the week. Go early. Get some ice cream at Mike’s ice cream shop. Eat it in the front window seat and watch the crazy tourists go by. Go to Rocket Fizz at 201 Second Ave. Buy some cowboy boots. Go to Acme Feed and seed and get a drink on the roof. Get a beer at Tootsies. Go to the Goo Goo shop on 3rd ave. Hit up the desert bar. Johnny Cash museum is across the street. See a show at Exit/In.

Thanks so much! Definitely planning on a few of those
Hey! Spending an extended weekend in Nashville this April with my wife. Any recommendations on bars, restaurants and music venues? Things to do/see in general? Thanks!!!

This is from 2019. I made some changes. Some things closed. Others opened.
I'd say first take a drive by the Parthenon. It's pretty damn impressive. Exact replica of the original, and ours is still standing. Nice park too. If it's nice, grab some food and eat in the park.
Then drive on to downtown. Park in some god awful expensive parking garage, and walk around. Don't rent a scooter or I will be forced to hunt you down and mow your ass over. Walk by the Ryman. See a show there if you get a chance. The monstrosity across from the Ryman is the new Fifth and Broad. It’s got live music, overpriced shops, and a great food court.
The Frist Museum is also downtown on Broadway with some great exhibits in a beautiful art deco building.
Broadway is like Times Square. You need to see it to believe it. Go in Tootsies Orchid lounge and grab a beer. Acme Feed & Seed downtown has good food in a historic building. Locals actually eat there. And dear god try not to get run over by a freakin pedal wagon.
Also fun if you are in Nashville over a weekend is the Farmers Market down from the Capital. Everything is local and delicious. They have a wine tasting bar. It's shit, but who cares after a few glasses. And The Picnic Tap serves local beers. The food trucks outside are great. Especially Two Peruvian Chefs In a truck.
Supposedly the best burgers in town are at The Pharmacy and right across the street are the some of the best tacos at Mas Tacos.
Five points is a lot of fun and bustling with good food and bars. The Basement East is a great place to hit a show. Grab a coffee at Bongo Java and at slice at 5 Points Pizza.
There's the Gulch. It's the new tourist scene. Only good thing there is Yazoo Brewery.
12th street is a lot of fun if you have time. Park at one end and walk to the park. Go to Five Daughters Bakery and get one of these. I dare you.
Cheekwood Botanical gardens will be beautiful this time of year.
Places to see some good live music are Exit/In, Basement East, or Marathon Music Works. All independently owned. Brooklyn Bowl is a really nice new venue. It's close to the farmers market and across the street from Von Elrods. Good beer and German sausage.
If you need advice about where to eat or park if you see a show at one of them, hit me up. I know the best spots around them all.
