All right, so I have friends from all over the country coming together for the festival. We figure the easiest way to camp together is to get in on groop camping. However, right now only about 12-16 of us are most likely going, and only 8 are absolutely confirmed.
I'm thinking I'd probably be able to round up enough people by April or May, but I'd really rather know it's going to work before I pay that extra $70 deposit. Surely someone else out there is in the same boat...
Soooooo... Anybody want to combine forces for a groop site?? Let me know how many you have in your "groop," and let's work this out! I'm happy to pay the deposit once we're sure we have enough people (or really close to enough) confirmed!
Oh, and we're a bunch of great people from mostly Texas, West Virginia, and Tennessee.

I have 6 people, 2 cars worth right now and am working on some others and we are definitely interested. We're a combination of Roo vets and a couple newbies, all of which love to meet and hang out with new people, so this would be perfect.
I'll be keeping tabs on this. I'm getting my Roo plans worked out, currently, but it's likely that at least me and one other guy are down. It very well may end up that I have 8-12 people ready to groop up, so we'll see.
Also, does anyone have an approximation for the walking time from Groop camping to Centeroo?

k i just sent you all some messages about coordinating this.
it's a little farther than i was camped last year, so i'd estimate like.. 5-10 minutes.. it's not bad at all.

3 years ago I was in this exact area. We were able to head back to camp after Stevie Wonder, restock and "refresh" and still make it back for Jay Z.... The location of the Pod and Portos cannot be overstated either.

I have a group of 3 (including myself) and 1 car, although we would be willing to park the car and carry our stuff to Groop Camping if all the parking passes were already assigned. I wasn't exactly sure how the parking worked, even after reading the website a couple of times.
I'm also big on camp cooking so if anyone were to be interested in setting up a communal camp kitchen, I'd love to be involved!

all right, the Groop is paid for and registered! Who wants in on Camp Bluth Banana Co.?!
as far as the groups with 2 people and one car who are interested, you're welcome to go ahead and register with us. if need be, you may have to park elsewhere and carry supplies to our area, but i figure those with the most shared supplies should get first dibs on parking if there are fewer than 3 in your party.
Please note: you CANNOT register for groop camping without having already purchased a ticket!

Very nice! Props on the name, too!
I've got a confirmed group of 3 vets, maybe 4 with a newbie. We'll all be riding down in the same car, and I'm definitely interested in joining Camp Bluth Banana Co. When will you start locking slots in/is there a max # of people in a groop?

Hi,
I just messaged you, too. I have 20 people good to go, I failed on the whole "reserving a spot" thing. We're actually two groups who joined forces last year without knowing each other and had such a good time that we were going to join forces again. Please message me, I would love to be part of the banana stand. I know 20 people is a lot of people to take on, but give us a chance! We all have tickets and could get officially signed up for your group by the end of the week, if you so desire. (sound desperate much?)
I posted this in another thread but I'll paste it here as well
"We have a fair sized groop organized for the second year. We have 35 confirmed so far but we are expecting 60+. Last year we had 52.
We are coming from all over NA. If any soloers want to meet some great people and have a good campsite feel free to hit me up. Most of us come from What.CD but some more are friends of members and some people we've met at other festivals.
Counting the days...
First time poster but I've been lurking here for years."
We are a pretty even mix of guys and girls. Most of us are in the 20-26 range but a few are older. I can link to galleries of pictures from previous years. We've done an informal group for 5 years now. Last year we were so happy to see an official option. Getting in 15 vehicles together in previous years was hell.
Really interested in Groop camping. I have 3 girls and possibly 2/3 more people. Is there a large group of people that would love to take on some awesome girls looking to have the time of their life?!

See my post above. We are up to 41 people at this point.

When is the dealing to register for a groop? We have 3 going and are looking to join a groop, but would need a parking pass. I worry about joining a groop with 20, what happens if they don't reach the min 24?
