I have the best worst problem of Roo introducing way to much new music to me. I absolutely love it but the conflicts that it causes are brutal. So far out of the new additions though I'm really digging Houndmouth, Matrimony, and The Mowgli's....hopefully I'll be able to catch the shows. I realllyyyy like Houndmouth they have that old school The Band feel to them with a newer Old Crow type bluegrassyness. Dig it.
The lineup is already great, as is, but I have to say I am disappointed they only had one round of artist additions this year.
This may be dumb, but they still have "More artists to be announced!" on the site....maybe they might sneak a few more in with the schedule when it comes out???

The lineup really worked out for me, 0 conflicts! Though I have to say there are less must see bands than I necessarily would have hoped for so that's part of it. In a way I think it's good though. I know it will be awesome no matter what and this way I can stay with my boyfriend for more of his shows as well, which I think will be good since it's my first time going. Plus I love finding new music! I've already found quite a few that really interest me thanks to Bonnaroo spotify playlists, really psyched for He's My Brother, She's My Sister who I'd never heard of before!
There are a lot of must sees for me and thankfully not many of them conflict. The even better thing about the lineup though, is how many awesome bands it introduced me too. Frank Turner, Local Natives, Portugal. The Man, and The Tallest Man On Earth have become some of my favorites. May have never found out about then if it wasn't for Bonnaroo!

For real. Chance is one of the only acts that Lolla has which I'm jealous of. He's still pretty small though; I wonder if it's too late to add him? They still have that second round of additions waiting to be announced, right? Actually I think he might be on tour with Mac Miller while roo is going on...
Is OM&M worth giving up a prime spot for Macca? I love them, but getting a just-behind-the-pit spot and just camping all day for Trombone Shorty, Local Natives, Passion Pit, Wilco, and Macca seems like a pretty incredible Saturday, despite all the other great acts playing elsewhere on the farm that day.

If you are already planning to commit most of your day to What Stage I'd suggest just staying there through Wilco and after until McCartney starts.

of monsters and men is going to be one of the most packed sets of the weekend. i personally wouldn't try to see it unless you're confident your main stage spot will be there when you come back. you likely won't have a good spot for om&m unless you post up there like you're planning to do on what.

Well, you need to do this Friday not Saturday lol. I plan to check out OM&M and venture out early to get set up for Passion Pit>Wilco>Paul. Figure if I can beat the crowd from the Which, will get a good spot. May even see what pit line looks like then.
If you insist on pit or rail, there will be some people gathering before bands even start, I'm sure.

Not even going to try for pit since they empty it out after each set. I'm just going to try to get the best non-pit spot possible, and yes, on Friday.
