Pearl Jam, U2, and Nirvana are too old to be included in the generation being discussed,
Uhhhh incorrect. You could make a case for U2, but the whole Seattle grunge era exploded right when I entered my teenage years. They will always hold some place in my musical heart no matter how cynical and elitist I get.

I don't know what to tell you, dude, it's just a fact. Pearl Jam and Nirvana started making albums in the late 80s and peaked in the early 90s. Outkast and Radiohead started making music in the early 90s and peaked in the late 90s/early aughts (except you could argue Radiohead's peak lasted until the mid-to-late aughts). They're separated by almost a decade.
hahaha, what? Outkast is the most universally loved music group, of any genre, of our (I'm 34) generation? Now I know you are trolling.
I would say it's between them and Radiohead, honestly.
Except, Radiohead is huge among people who consider themselves as somewhat serious music listeners and rock orientated. Outkast's popularity was during a time when people weren't as diverse in their tastes (the internetz), yet fans of all genres loved them.

Believe it or not. I have a decent familiarity with all those acts, sweetness. They could still both be in the same generation though. As monster stated, this was the era pre-internet, so nobody really had heard of Nirvana and Pearl Jam until 1991 which is coincidentally the same year Creep came out.

Duran Duran formed just months after Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols came out. Would you claim that Duran Duran and The Sex Pistols were from the same generation of music? It just has to do with when bands peak. Pearl Jam and Nirvana peaked in the early 90s, they're part of the grunge generation. Radiohead and Outkast peaked in the late 90s/early-to mid aughts. They're the generation AFTER the grunge generation. That's how I see it.

We're not talking about the grunge generation of bands though. We're talking about those ages 31-35 right now.

Metallica are too old to be on the list then as well.

Outkast's ability to bring fans of all different genre's together is what sets them apart from every other artist of the 90s, (early, mid , or late, however you want to split it up). Hell, even all the way up to today's generation I can't think of an artist or group that has such a broad fanbase, and to do it in an era where people didn't have immediate access to everything out there.

I want to believe you, but Bisco seems a bit odd to me...
Obviously Outkast wouldn't want to be anywhere near London Grammar

But in all seriousness, Outkast at Mountain Oasis makes sense and would be awesome. I'd much rather catch them there than have to fight through the heat for a good spot at that set.

Bisco shouldnt seem odd at all considering its produced by the same people who do Counterpoint

Should I count on this happening, or is this more of a prediction?

I just saw all this, honestly I think the Red Hot Chili Peppers are the band that take the title. I am 36 though so I do not quite fit your demographic.

Piggybacking on Flanzo's point, City Bisco had not only Big Boi, but Meth & Red as well. Outkast doesn't seem too far off. Just another SCOOP in a day's work I suppose.

I would assume if there is even a chance of the festival happening they would be contacting artists. They would be screwed if they waited until the fest was 100% a go, and half their prospective lineup was booked up.

Sounds like if it does happen it's gonna be a pretty low key affair this year.
I fucking love the idea that Camp Bisco will suddenly become a bluegrass fest. Bros painted neon rolling face to mandolin solos. Wooks with pupils as big as dinner plates stabbing each other in the campground while Del & the boys play "I'm Lonesome, I'm Blue" in the background.
I love the stereotype around Camp Bisco even though it's one of the cleanest and safest festivals I've ever been to. Not to mention alongside all the Wubznectar they usually have solid acts playing there too like FlyLo, Squarepusher, DFA1979, James Murphy, and Four Tet. Say what you want about TDB and their self-indulgent "lets play 40 sets in one weekend" bs, they really do put on a solid festival.

Iv gone for 5 years and I can honestly say it is the most chaotic drug fueled festival Iv ever and continue to attend. The biker security guards taking 15 min to come get a kid having a seizure and foaming at the mouth right on top of me during Bassnectar in 2012 still haunts me.
Because their are a lot of crazy druggies who attend.. Iv never seen any fights or felt in danger while there though. Just alot of usage to an unsafe degree.. That said, I enjoy attending due to cost, proximity, musical selection, and have met some rather interesting people that I run into at shows all the time. I avoid the other nonsense.
