My movie marathon today and last night while taking call: The VVitch. I have never watched this one before last night. Excellent. Planning on doing a little dancing by the fire/chanting/levitating myself on Oct 9th during the full Hunter's moon.
8 1/2. My favorite Fellini film. Was very disappointed to be working last night during this because this is truly a red wine and cheese type of film.
Nights of Cabiria. Not far behind in Fellini favs. Revisited this one. Love and money will always bite your ass in the end. Keep letting that hope and joy of life shine through the cynicism, baby.
The Crippled Avengers. Guess whose Plex I am using right now? This one just started.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Finally got a copy of Contraband. This is the film Lucio Fulci made after walking out of the Godfather and thinking "That was okay but it needed more gore and a rape scene." It actually kinda rules once you get past the sleaze. Made in the middle of his hot streak of horror classics and it's just as dark and seedy as any of them. Great ending. Dark, depressing. Everyone walks away scarred and Naples is no better off.

Seems about right. I was thinking 2 or 2.5 out of 5. When it started I was really worried but it got somewhat better toward the end. Felt like the bones of something that could have been way more substantial.

So the "game" was slight incest (chasing in the park and playing kissing games. Slight boobie grabbing) with his niece by marriage. But if you already thought you'd murdered your wife than she wouldn't even be your niece by marriage? I don't know. Bad title. The niece was hot as fuck tho.
But I just have to explain the plot. It's so hilarious goofy. So this super conservative guy's wife and her lesbian lover trick him into thinking his wife is banging a dude. THEN trick him into thinking that he murdered her over it???????? Then the lesbian lover tricks him into thinking she's a prostitute and has sex with him multiple times for some reason. All to get his money but it doesn't work cause the naughty niece figures it out. So he fakes his death. Then shots the lesbians while they are dancing around celebrating him being dead. Then the naughty niece double-crosses him and kills him. Then she gets run over by a car while fleeing the scene of the murder. So all four of them die without having many erotic games and nobody gets his money. I gotta say the lesbians' plan makes zero fucking sense and was so so risky.

Any suggestions for downloadable shows or movies from the usual streaming apps (hulu, paramount+, netflix, apple, etc)? Have a plane ride ahead of me and am stumped on what to watch.
So far have downloaded: Bad Sisters Fargo season 4 (tbh not sure if I will watch this lol) Abbott Elementary current season episodes
