Its kind of messed up we have to get insiderish information to discover specifics about VIP amenities. Don't understand why Roo can't just clearly indicate exactly what the people paying $1400 for their tickets are getting.
I guess since they sell out VIP they don't care that much.
Please never use Phi and insider in the same sentence. His ego is terrible enough already.

So about 2 weeks ago I saw Of Monsters and Men/Vampire Weekend at Red Rocks. During Of Monsters set was the first time I floated away for a real ride while being in a venue. It was incredible. I'd like to see them again and in all honesty given my recent experience is a absolute MUST see for me. This is my first Roo and they play Which afternoon so I can't scout it the day before. If you were up for doing whatever it took to be front of this show would you wait in Pit line or just camp VIP Pit? I guess I'm saying I know Which VIP is AWESOME and for every other show I'm just going to use it but, if I put in sacrifice is GA pit closer viewing? Thanks for any tips.

Yes, but also possibly no. Let me explain. The main VIP pit area is not as close as GA pit, that is true. Here's a picture I took last year during Devil Makes Three from the VIP pit. This is pretty far to the right, and you can go a bit more left, but this at least gives you an idea of distance.
The few scattered people you see in front of me are in the area reserved for...I don't exactly remember what it's called, but I think those tickets are given out to people who know the band or something. However, last year, during some shows, if that area isn't full, the guards would let us into it from VIP. Which was awesome. Here's how close I could get after that happened.
Now, I have no idea if that kind of thing will happen again this year, so take that for what it's worth. But I got really close for some great shows last year, so I sure hope it happens again.
