What's your favorite album by an artist who's on the 2012 lineup?
I've been thinking about this for a while. There are so many good options! It was tough to turn down Hail to the Thief, Kid A, Bon Iver Bon Iver, SBTRKT, and nearly a hundred others, but I figured it out.
Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys.
Yup. That's mine. What about you?
Maybe I'll put up a count in the OP or something if we end up with a lot of people picking the same ones
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

Can't believe Im the first to say For Emma, Forever Ago. Hands down my favorite thing done by anyone on the lineup, and almost anyone ever. The other life-altering album for me is In Rainbows. Pet Sounds is a great choice too but it doesn't have nearly the same meaning as the other two albums for me. I feel like a lot of that is not being alive when the album was released
Since it's impossible to narrow down OK Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows to only one album, I will skip Radiohead and go on to another artist.
"Takes Place in Your Work Space" White Denim "Emotionalism" Avett Brothers "Bon Iver" Bon Iver "Wincing the Night Away" The Shins "Strange Mercy" St Vincent

Agree 100% with all three points here.
I remember where I was the first time I heard For Emma (yeah I know, douchey, whatever). In Rainbows is what got me listening to Radiohead, and Pet Sounds is obvious.
As a 90s kid, I grew up listening to "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" so, to be honest, that would win if I was voting for sentimental reasons. Then you have Pet Sounds and all those great Radiohead albums that have already been mentioned....
But the album I'm choosing as my favorite (from a 2012 Artist) has to be "Burst Apart"... at least at the time I'm writing this (will likely change lol). "Hospice" is probably considered by most to be a better album by the Antlers but there are a good 6-7 singles on "Burst Apart" that I've fallen in love with and "Hospice" can be a bit of a downer.
Honorable mentions: "Smoke Ring for my Halo", "SBTRKT", "Strange Mercy", "Section. 80", anything from Danny Brown, "Little Hell"
