well.. not to be a pessimist.... BUT.... I did drive thru the same gates as y'all.... Just because they SAY that they will do this... does not mean they are capable of executing it AND the people at the gates will know about it. Good idea to meet first anyway.
when i initially asked, she told me about the plans to do it for GA, asked me to keep it quiet until the announce it - and that they hadnt considered a large enough group for VIP.
the volunteer lackey guy might not know about it, but im sure the people in charge will. besides, ill be sure to have some of the information printed out / on hand if there are any questions.
I've still got my spreadsheet & printout..lemme go check...
Damn. Can't tell for sure: Mike's diagram has 36 spaces and it doesn't specify if those are people+car or just people. But either way, we had over 30 cars with 58 people in our "close" section alone. There were additional Inforoosters in VIP who weren't part of our logistics.
I think we can get a fairly accurate headcount/wheel count by May 1.

I talked with my contact at Roo again - this is how it's going to go down:
We will meet up somewhere before (Food Lion?) as normal and drive in together.
I will be in touch with her again at the beginning of June to give her the most accurate # of people going. At this point, she will tell me how we should identify us to the parking staff.
They are technically not reserving a giant space for us - as they will park us on our arrival. The main advantage is the parking staff will be expecting us. That should avoid fiascoes like 2010.
We are crafty people, I'm sure we can work it out to hold a couple spaces for stragglers.

CKS was my neighbor! lol I should have ventured across the road; oh well, we get a do-over in 5 weeks!!
