Put this in the Rumors thread last week... 'friend of a friend' was told that McCauley & co. will be doing some one-offs in Dec and Jan... followed by a tour that includes Bonnaroo & some "other smaller festivals"
I notice Deertick is in the denied section. Where was there actual confirmation that they aren't playing? The link just goes to post where somebody states they don't know yet.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

The reply from Deer Tick said "no idea, contact Superfly," which to me sounds like they haven't been contacted yet. I feel pretty confident if they had a chance of playing there would have been some sort of contact by now.

I don't believe this is the case. I think the vast majority of the smaller bands have not been contacted or if they have been its been brief contact between manager and SP/ACE so the artists wouldn't know about it.

In regards to Deer Tick, their booking agent was the one that was contacted, and gave a petition Bonnaroo type response. That doesn't give me any kind of open for interpretation type of feeling. Just because I have them classified as denied doesn't mean they definitely won't end up playing, I suppose, as it is still December.
You guys feel free to contact artists again in the future to see if anything changes and I'll update accordingly.
Don't jump the gun now. And really this goes fer all of us. Didn't Talib Kweli tweet that Black Star would be playin' 'Roo last year? And that didn't happen which was a downer.

That's what I remember as well, so maybe negotiations just fell through. I was just tryin' to say that even if we get direct confirmation, take it with a grain of salt so if it doesn't work out you won't be quite as disappointed. Now hopefully back to hearin' some better news from some of these acts!
