Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Huge page of bands and their respective booking agents. I'm going to try email most of these people tomorrow about specific bands. Y'all should try too:
I too have emails out to Bon Iver, Shins, and Mountain Goats. Hopefully we'll have power in numbers where at least one of us gets a response.
I'm in a NO NO WORD!!! study right now where I just get to chill out so that's why I have hours to devote to sending out emails. Have been going through my ipod alphabetically and emailing every name that interests me. Hoping to get a nice load of responses come Monday.
What drug are you doing in these studies? You are being really productive for being on something.
And I already emailed Tune Yards asking if I'd get the chance to see them either in Dallas or at Roo, and they said I would get to see them but that's all they were allowed to tell me, which most likely means Roo, so yeah.
Also ANTLERS. I had to miss them last year because they played in Dallas the day before Bonnaroo started
Amon Tobin The wording of this makes it seem pretty promising to me. Saying he can't confirm anything at this time isn't a denial. Sounds like he's referring to being restricted by a fest announcement. I'd guess he'll be at Roo. Really, really hope this comes true. One of my biggest wants.
About the study I'm in: They injected this diabetes med via a needle into our tummies. No side effects other than a little decreased appetite. I basically just get to hang out all day on a comfy couch reading, writing, doing internet stuff. Plus I get $5500 for it. Pretty rad.
Lots of lonely agents out there haha. Some of them are responding from their phones, but it is still surprising to hear so many responses on the weekend like this.
Okay, finished going through my ipod and picking bands from it. Must have close to a hundred emails out. I think I'm done with emailing for a while haha, as I spent most of today doing that. I'll keep y'all updated on the responses I get.

Haha I do them for all my money. I haven't had to work in over three years now. In a little more than a month I'll have wrapped up a six month period where I made 16k. It's a good life. This site lists a lot of places in the US that do them: www.jalr.org/frame.html
The Raveonettes and Crystal Castles are both out.
Also, I got to see Yeasayer play in a chapel a little over a year ago. Be jealous haha. I emailed them so we'll see if we can come up with a more definitive answer.

Excellent news about the Antlers! Love their music and is a top tier wanna see this year.

Yeah, it's all fun and dandy, till something of yours falls off

My friend does medical studies for money, last one he did (doing still not sure) was he had to take Aids medicine for a month I think. The side effects for it were kind of nuts, like not being able to taste food and just this kind of sick feeling for the month. Doesn't seem worth it to me in the long run, even if the money is sort of insane.
The War on Drugs are now 100% confirmed instead of just "probable" which is the answer they gave before. I mainly emailed them to find out about Sasquatch, which they are also playing.
Peelander-Z is out.
Chairlift is out but the person said the lineups aren't locked "so it's still a possibility."
Metric: "Wait until the festival announces...these emails are getting annoying." Either I emailed this person before, or she's been fielding lots of requests haha. The agents are beginning to catch onto me. I'm assuming they're out but who knows.
Scissor Sisters had a late night last year so I just don't see them coming back. If you can find an email I will though. That being said, that was one of the best shows for me last year.
I've never had to do one with side effects that severe. I imagine he must be making a lot from that one though. I would do something like that if the money was good enough, but I've yet to do one that affects my quality of life for any period of time. The worst I've ever had is some pretty bad throwing up for an afternoon. 90% of the ones I do have resulted in no side effects.
I know people joke, but it really is safe and highly regulated. They have three doctors here and I'm under the supervision of them and/or nurses all day. If the slightest thing seems out of range on labs or vitals they always follow through very thoroughly and make sure there is no harm. Plus I generally just do studies with single doses of a drug, so the amount I take is generally out of my body in just a short period of time. I've never felt in danger or anything, plus the money really is insane for having to do nothing. I literally just read books and do internet stuff all day and then get lots of money for rent, travel, festivals, etc.

Would this gentleman from the Windish Agency actually have any clue as to when Bonnaroo is releasing their line-up? I ask before I get too excited about him saying that he thinks they are releasing it this week.
