Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
chill: WELCOME TO INFOROO VIP! (and congrats on taking your lurker status public...I did the same thing - lurked for 3yrs before posting!)
I'll add you to the lineup. Feel free to join our Facebook group, too (if you use FB) so you can get to know us a little better. And if you have any specific questions about ANYTHING 'Roo-related, just shoot one of us a PM. We're all seasoned pros!

I've been to six Bonnaroos, including the first, but it looks like this will be my first year doing VIP. Also, I've been posting on this site since 2006 and I've never met a single one of you fine people. Perhaps we can change that this year, especially considering my friends aren't going this time. I'll be there with my wife.
Hi all! Long-time lurker. Returning for Roo #6 this year, and stepping up to VIP this year as I celebrate a milestone birthday!
Question for you all... I have some friends who are doing RV VIP, and a solo friend that needs a +1 for camping VIP. Can she go in on tickets with an RVer and ride in the car with us into the grounds, or are those two totally separate kinds of tickets?
Holls - thanks for the welcome. I am so glad I have "come out of the closet" as a lurker. Everyone has been so nice-don't know what i was worried about. Although I had a few minutes of doubt about taking on Roo alone- I don't anymore!!!
KQ- I will let the VIP experts answer about the arrival into VIP. But if your friend needs to split a VIP camping with no parking pass.. I may be your person! Feel free to PM me.

Once tickets go on sale again tomorrow will you be able to buy VIP until they sellout or will they only be available as long as the GA initial allotment lasts?
Also is there any chance of VIP selling out soon?
I'm planning on buying mine tomorrow but the other two going with us talked about buy in a few days.
Thanks so much! Happy purchasing for those buying tomorrow!

Considering the lineup (all four big bands appeal to a demographic that has disposable income), I would say there's a very good chance that VIP sells out quickly. There will always be the option of buying a ticket off someone who can't go at the last minute. If it's within the first couple of weeks, I THINK you'll be fine, but there are no guarantees.

It sells out every year. Do not wait until the last minute.
I've had to buy at the last second, it wasn't fun.

I am a maybe in with son.... Waiting to hear if his exam schedule can be cleared. Not sure if I can bear to come to this one without him. We shall see... maybe, I can hook up with xrayxpec....
I will probably pick up a pair tomorrow regardless..

Your "ticket" is your VIP wristband. That's all you need to get into VIP, whether you're camping in a tent or RV. Anyone who has that VIP wristband can enter the grounds in either a vehicle or in an RV.
Every PERSON needs a wristband; every VEHICLE needs a VIP parking pass. RVs require an RV pass.
Hope that helps! Ask any question you have! And please try to make it to the Inforoo Brunch on Friday (10am until ---) in Tent Only! It's the #1 best way to meet hordes of Inforoosters!
Tent Only is super easy to find: exit VIP behind the arch, then look for the first set of tents that have no cars around. It should look like a small city (or refugee camp!) You'll know you've found it when you see a crowd gathered around a flag that has this Inforooster logo: (we'll be the loud, crazy people who are eating & drinking like it's our jobs!)
We're in! This will be my second Bonnaroo but first in VIP! My fiance and I too will be having a HoneyRoon of sorts as we will be home from our "other" honeymoon just a couple weeks before Bonnaroo rolls around. So excited!! Can't wait! See y'all there!
Question: As I'm looking for someone to split the VIP tix.......
How hard would it be to obtain another parking pass if both people need one? I didn't pay alot of attention in the past years, but it seems like people posted extras for sale? Like say you buy a VIP RV pass do you still need the regular VIP parking pass?

When I did VIP RV in 07, the RV pass was given in lieu of a regular parking pass.
Some people don't need a parking pass (flying in or part of a large group and don't have their own car), so I think your best bet would be to look to pair up with someone in that type of situation.

People need to start posting in here more again. I wont stand for any of this not communicating with my homies business. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT PLANS EXCESSIVELY SO WE HAVE SOMETHING TO FANTASIZE ABOUT FOR THE NEXT FEW MONTHS.
OK, for you VIP first-timers: don't miss the private VIP party starts around 7'ish on Thursday. It's a fully-catered buffet with plenty o' tasty noms (including vegetarian options!) and beverages. Did I mention FREE BEER??? They also have hard cider for you non-beer drinkers.
The private party always has a live band. In past years, it's been acts like Trombone Shorty, Big Sam's Funky Nation, etc. We won't know for sure who's playing this year, buuuuuuuut:
According to his Facebook events page, blues artist Gary Clark, Jr. is scheduled to play Thursday from 8:00 - 11:30 p.m., so my guess is that HE is our performer. I could be wrong, but hopefully I'm not - 'cause this guy has been compared to Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy and more.
Rolling Stone named him the "Best Young Gun" of 2011. He played a small stage at 'Roo last year then followed up with the Bonnaroo Buzz tour.
If you've never heard him, read the Rolling Stone review then watch this:

My friend Jen and I are in, and we'll be at the Thursday night gig for sure. We're in VIP, but in an on-site RV, so I don't know how close we'll be to Camp Inforoo. Our first (and only) 'roo was 2006. Can't wait to meet you guys!
My girlfriend and I are in for VIP! This will be our 3rd roo but first VIP. We normally make the trek from Indiana with a group of friends. Unfortunately, none of them are in this year. We are looking forward to making new friends with y'all.
Also, to all the new blood - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not be put off by our "group-ness." We are a very close group and many of us have been camping together for a long time. Don't worry if one of us runs up and give you a huge hug and screams "EEEEEEEEEEE" in your face. We may not know you now, but by the end you'll be family.
We do like to cook breakfast together. If you want to join in, we'll happily have you. If you want to be more on your own, that's fine too.
Part of what makes VIP so special is that we are so close. We can always rely on each other, we can trust each other and we can have fun together. You always have someone at camp, you always have someone to go to a show with, you always have a buddy. Many of us have become friends for life due to VIP camp and we are there even in the non-Roo times for each other.
It's a really special place and we are happy to have you join us.
And on Sunday night, I tend to get really drunk and hump people. It's ok, just go with it. It's better for everyone that way.
