Yeah, I knew what you meant. I was just slapping your balls. Looking forward to putting your meat in my mouth.

You can ramble back and forth from Centeroo or wherever to the VIP thing as you please... They put out the food maybe 5-6 pm and if I remember right they stop serving beer when they band(s) quit about 11:00 PM
I have talked about this long enough... People of VIP, I give you:
the Sanctuary
This will be our own little place to gather, to hang out at, to relax in. A place when Centeroo is too crazy, you will have a cool, shaded, open area to "get away for a while and chill at" spot. This area will be carpeted, so you can lay down. This area is 20 feet by 20 feet. the roof is 11 feet. Here is the first draft of the Sanctuary.
I know, from this picture it looks, not good, or not looking well constructed, and you are right, it does "look" that way, but this design has with stood the winds of the Playa and I am confident in the structure.
The Sanctuary will not only provide shade over 400 square feet(there is one center support pole), it is very open, allowing wind to pass through. If anybody knows me knows that is not all the Sanctuary is about I give your four words(with videos, click them) Deck Core Ray Shuns
That is right, any creativity found in those videos will be expressed in the Sanctuary and then some. It will be visual stimulating, I am hoping for some inactive art pieces, but what that might be I am not saying. I will say there will be some lasers, I am going to create a "no shoes" area, this will be full of pillows and fluffy things. The Sanctuary will be for everyone to enjoy and use. If you want to add to it, PLEASE DO!!! I have a lot of decorations to hang and LED lights, but I could use a few things.
I would ask for help in putting this structure up. Decorating will be a chore and would ask for help with that. If not finished Thursday, day, than maybe a late Thursday night decorating shin-dig, after Alabama Shakes. Also, I want to carpet this. I want a large area where I can lay down and just roll around. I only have enough carpet for about half of the structure. I have a tarp that will go on the ground, but would love to have carpet on top of that. Anybody got any rugs or carpet that they could bring, that will be gold! Other than that, I have everything else to make this one bad ass chill spot! Again, I welcome and encourage you to add to this.

Love it, I was also working on a more circus style tent made out of an old italian paramilitary parachute. i have yet to put it up, but yours looks great. and like the arches, pvc conduit? I may have some astroturf bouncing around the office the only issue is we rent it and it will have staples in it. so, barefoot may be a bad idea. anyways, looking forward to seeing it.

I was wondering what time you guys usually pack up and head home?
We're going to have to leave Sunday night to be back in time for work and stuff. Since we aren't huge Phish fans we were thinking of staying to catch an hour or two of their set and then taking off.

When I get bored with the jam headliner, I pack up and leave
Most of our VIP group leaves on Monday morning. However, if you need to leave Sunday night, you'll have no trouble getting out. Many others leave then as well.
Hellz Yeah, thanks for all the positive feed back. Looking forward to building this just about as much as I am for some of the music. Call me whatever, but I like doing these things. ;D and I think all of you will be very pleased with what is in the making.
A Disco Ball was mentioned and I think that would "Rock the House"! but I do not have one. I have the lasers to put on it, but I have no Disco Ball. I mean, if I am trying to get a smoke machine, we gotta have a Disco Ball, right? Anybody have a disco ball that could be hung inside the Sanctuary?
Dave, I would like to rain test the tarp, but it has not rained in Florida in a while or that long for a while. We need Rain!
So this will be my third Roo, first one just GA car camped, fell in love with the whole Bonnaroo experience, last year I camped with the great people of Inforoo TO, had a fantastic time, but just decided to upgrade to VIP for this year. I'd love to continue the Inforoo experience and camp with all of you. I usually think of VIP's as little stuffy, uptight, but I have a feeling that's not the case here. Looking forward seeing you all in 2 weeks!
^ You're right: many words can describe the Inforoo VIP crew, but stuffy & uptight are definitely NOT two of 'em!
Glad you'll be joining us! If you want to be part of our collective caravan, we'd love to have you! I can add you to our contact list that I'll send out by email this time next week. Just PM me your details (name, phone, email, # of people & cars in your group) and I'll let you know when/where we plan to meet up in Manchester that Thursday morning.
Rooingagain I was the fat kid at camp inforoo last year and my bonnaroo experiences mirror ypurs( ga car camped once, ga inforoo last year, and vip this year). I avoid stuck up stuffy people at all costs and I am super excited to do inforoo vip because it seems like the best way to garuntee awesome vip neighbors.
Scrog: you rule. Playa tested, indeed. If xrayspex does not come across with the disco ball, I'll buy and bring one...already have the vendors identified.
Does anyone know if there's a way to get a VIP parking pass? I just realized that since I did the VIP upgrade through Target Sports which doesn't include a parking pass, I'll only have my GA pass which I'm guessing won't get me into the VIP gate. I'm picking up the VIP wristband Wednesday evening but I was really looking forward to missing the GA lines. Any Suggestions??
^ That's a good question. I would contact Target Sports *IMMEDIATELY* to see what options are available to you. There's not much point in securing a VIP upgrade if you have to schlep your gear over from GA & leave your car there!
Surely the VIP wristband would be paired with a VIP parking pass...surely! I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya! Update on here if you don't mind, so any others who might be in this predicament (but haven't realized it yet!) will realize it. Thanks & good luck!
Thanks holls but I don't think Target Sports is going to be much help since that package is designed for people flying in and using the shuttle, I do have an email into them though. They state up front that it doesn't include a parking pass but I didn't put it together quick enough. I'm contacting Bonnaroo too, there should be a way. Hopefully I'll be in line with all of you on Thursday!
^ SH, I hope you get one! But in case you don't.... what's your contingency plan?
I initially planned to ride in w/Druid, but my plans changed. My friend who has the parking pass decided not to camp & will stay in a hotel & do Day Parking instead. She's letting me use the pass to get onto the Farm. This means I won't be riding in w/Druid. If all else fails, can you ride share? Maybe meet up w/us, put the majority of your stuff in other vehicles (Scrog will make some room, right?) and hitch a ride that way?
Worst-case scenario: you leave your car in a secure place (like a hotel parking lot) overnight, then pull a creative parking move on Friday. Have someone in VIP loan you their parking pass & give you a ride to your car, then follow them in using the extra pass. Once you've parked in VIP, you won't need the pass again.
I know it's a little on the sneaky side, but it could work if you're desperate! Just sayin'!
and yes, I suppose that would work. My plan had been that if I can't get ahold of a pass, just to park in GA, and haul my stuff over to VIP. I don't mind parking in GA of course, but the major downer to that plan is I have to wait in the GA line
