^ Yes. Regional brews. Portland is often tied w/Asheville for Beer Capitol of the U.S., so it stands to reason they have stuff you can't find at your neighborhood Shaw's or Stop & Shop.
Daniroo is a wine expert, but she DEFINITELY knows her beers. (Srsly? Dude, she can identify the exact variety of hops used in a beer by just a sniff & a sip: that's a pro's nose & taste buds for ya!) Just trust her & let her bring a variety. You cannot go wrong that way.

D'awwww. You are too kind. Most people just think I'm a lush.
Yeah, there are a lot of things that you can't find outside of PDX (Amnesia FTW). But, along with not being able to find them, I can't transport them (can't check a growler). I'll just do a selection of stuff for everyone to share at camp.
I'd love to have a beer exchange. So many of us live near awesome beer that is hard to find - BRING ME SPOTTED COW K-DOGG! - that it would be fun to do a trade up one day.

S&S, Shaws... for beer?
I slug it out to Westboro for Julio's. Sometimes Yankee in Sturbridge or WineNation in Millbury. Gasparo's in N Attleboro is where I found Full Sail.
^ Your friend speaks volumes of truth! Welcome to Inforoo & welcome to VIP! We're glad to have you! If you want to join our group, send me a PM with your contact info & I'll work you into our caravan. If you don't want to camp with us, that's fine too.

What motel/hotel is everyone staying at on Wednesday night? I need to book up a room... (procrastinate much?)
no worries I havent booked mine yet either and Im super duper planner. I also stay in murfreesboro. Ill be pricelining something that isnt scary looking and has a bar nearby. Anyone remember what hotel has the mexican restuarant attached to it? Thats where I stayed last year. Margaritas after a 10 hour drive were amazing
Anyone coming up from I-24S should avoid Murfreesboro. It's 30mi from Manchester; Monteagle is only 22mi away. There are several small, affordable hotels on the mountain. It's a sleepy little community where the University of the South is located.
Traffic from there to Exit 114 is usually lighter than coming from the other direction. Or that's been my experience these last 6 years...

I believe it is the Vista Inn, or so says their website: "Authentic Mexican cuisine is just few steps away. La Siesta beckons hungry travelers with tempting tacos, mouthwatering enchiladas, cheesy nachos, and specialty margaritas. Savor these and other appetizing items and save at the same time. Guests of the Vista Inn & Suites receive a delectable 10% discount. "

Anyone staying in Monteagle, avoid the Regency Inn!! Place is close to Manchester and is cheap, but is so craptastic! There were so many blood stains and who knows what stains on the bed/walls/floor that I couldn't count. We ended up setting up our cots and sleeping bags in the middle of the room because the bed wreaked of hooker death. Sooooo not worth saving 30$ for a night, and so not worth Hepatitis C...

If any beer lover swings through Vermont on the way down, I implore you to bring as much Heady Topper as you can. It's one of the best beers I've ever had.
My wife and I are just driving the two hours it takes to get there that morning. It will be ice not waiting in traffic for 7 hours this time.

This will be my sixth bonnaroo, but first time VIP (Can't control the excitement). I am heading down there with a buddy of mine, but sadly I don't believe I'll be able to make the Inforoo Caravan because I have to work a half day Thursday. Anyways just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully I'll be able to meet some of you down on the farm!
^ Hey narwhal! You're more than welcome to hang out with us, even if your tent isn't set up near our mini-city! I'll try to take a pic of our compound & post it on here Thursday once we're all set up. (Usually around 12-1pm)
Check on here for coordinates! Or, if you don't find us, just come to the VIP party and yell "Corncat!" Anyone who answers is an Inforooster & can point out the rest of us.
You will LOVE the VIP experience! See you in 3 weeks!!!
requests for Portland beers begin below this post... I think we have 5 (FIVE!) checked bags so we can fit a sixer or two for anyone interested.
Dani,
Are you and Ron being "sneaky sneaky" with bottles, or are the local breweries starting to can now? A really good brewery here just started canning their best sellers. Definitely stocking up before the road trip!
OK, who got their wristband & parking pass today??? Let's see some pics! Post 'em so we can update the Facebook group, too! ;D
21 DAYS!!!
Has anyone even received the shipping email yet? I am still anxiously waiting for it to hit my inbox. I've got a friend going GA and his wristband should be here friday. So jelly.
