That's a great idea. They could have a whole tent dedicated to forgettable, kitschy pop music called the "Who" tent. I wouldn't have to hang out on the outside perimeter of the tents ever again.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

This is a really/lazy tired response from music forum trolls in general. A lot of us use this board to talk about music we like that's outside the crappy music spectrum that's thrown in our faces all the time by radio/television/stores/parties we go too. Why use it to post stuff you know will get a groan from pretty much everyone?

This forum is for fans of the FESTIVAL to use to discuss numerous amounts of topics about the fest. As a fan of Bonnaroo, and annual attendee since '08, one of the things I love about Bonnaroo is how they are constantly proving to attendees that they will keep stretching their boundaries. Every year they look for ways to widen the variety of music offered at the festival. So the point of this thread was discuss a group outside of the considered "norm" for Bonnaroo. It isn't really to upset anyone. Although, when members who insist on telling me that their opinion of music is what's is considered good music, that's when I enjoy to give that tired old response.
When the boundaries of Bonnaroo become LMFAO, I'll stop going.
Yet when other people complain about Bonnaroo changing or expanding it's boundaries to things they dont like you have nothing but smartass mealy mouthed comments to make about it. Ohhh the ironing......
You're really going to take this crusade? For LMFAO?
One post pointing out that you are a hypocrite is not a crusade. Like I said though it is amusing when you start complaining about Bonnaroo going in a new direction you don't like.

Sometimes there's an obvious line in the sand.
One band isn't going to make a difference obviously, that was an exaggeration. But if pushing the boundaries means LMFAO, then I think the festival would have taken a weird turn.
I could care less about LMFAO being there. But obviously they don't take themselves too seriously, which I appreciate. They have catchy productions, and make no doubt what their songs are for, having a good time. I enjoy the deep, meaningful music as much as the next person. I love watching a show where the band is undoubtedly amazingly talented musicians putting on a great show. I also think its important to have fun sometimes. I think some people take music too seriously sometimes.
