Afroman?? does he even still exist?
he played the esteemed Gathering of the Juggalos last year
I know they've never played bonnaroo as "furthur", but does it really count as something new?
Furthur is of course made up of two of the Dead members and do Dead songs, they are a different band with a bit different sound. Having seen both, I'd rather see furthur than The Dead. And it has been a while since The Dead played Roo and it was stated maybe bands that did not play last year...so I think it fits and though not always well represented on Infoo roo Jam band fans make up a good portion of the people who go to Roo so there will always be a few Jam bands.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

In thinking about this I like bands that repeat. If I really enjoyed the show last year I might want to see them again, or if I missed it because of a scheduling confict I could see it this year or if there is a scheduling conflict this year I might see the band I haven't seen. Bonnaroo could have the same line up as last year and I could/would see a different set of shows except for the bands I saw I enjoyed that were unopposed. What I'd really like to see is less conflicts of simular Genra bands example I only saw part of Grace Potter so I could go see Warren Haynes. So I am good with repeats, I'll see some band I missed last time!

Somebody count this and tell me how many more to go.
There is no way there are no repeat acts. There is always enough new acts on the lineup to where you can skip the repeaters for someone new. I will say we need all new headliners and new LN acts. And I think we will have all new headliners and mostly all new LNs.
The hip-hop on that list is half-garbage. Get Big Sean's terrible nonsense out of there, throw in Rae & Ghostface, Freddie Gibbs, and Roc Marciano, Black Star, anything, sheeeeeeit.
Not my choice for hip hop but I also don't think we will see half the hip hop we had this year.
I've noticed a "theme" of sorts starting in 09' with the amount of artists they book of a certain genre. I'm willing to bet we see 3 or 4 hip hop artist next year.

Eh, I don't know. Hip-hop has been a pretty standard presence, and has increased ever-so-slightly each year. I don't know if they'd suddenly drop it back to 3-4 artists like this was 2006 or something.[/quote]
One can only hope they limit it back to 3-4 slots and make them quality picks

Good point - Curren$y is up too high (..wah wah wah..) Black Star or Mos Def seem like legitimate needed additions. Freddie Gibbs is a must and I would throw in Shabazz Palaces and Blu/Exile for those more ethereal hip hoppers
(and we can all beg for Outkast under our breaths)
Do Portishead play big American festivals often? I know they're playing at ATP but I have never heard of them playing any big fests like Roo, Lolla or Coach ...
