I was on a Hawkwind kick last week and gave this a spin. I was trying to explain to Mrs. GL that Lemmy got his start in that band. She didn't believe me.
I need a Gong day but I'm too afraid its gonna fry me to do anything else.
Yeah, I don't get enough Gong in my life anymore. Think I will listen to You and Shamal (produced by Nick Mason of course) today. Fell asleep listening to Steve Hillage L last night, so I figured I'd get off to an early start with Live Herald. If you never listened to it, it came out in 1979 and featured 3 sides live of Hillage from various European concerts in 1977 and 1978 and a Side 4 of new studio shit that was so far ahead of its time. Faster pre-punk punk, sort of pre-New Wave with Unzipping the Zype and finally The Healing Feeling which is one of the greatest meditation songs ever released into the rock world. None of any of it sounds the same which is one of the reasons I loved that album since I was a teenager.
