The guy I was talking to next to me at the show here was literally a gang member from east LA. Their appeal is very broad. I guess it shouldn't be that much of a surprise, since their show is FANTASTIC!
I agree with everything karosko said. So much fun.

Their live show is far beyond their studio albums. I love In Ghost Colours and Zonoscope, don't get me wrong, but I saw them at Camp Bisco and at Pitchfork this summer, and they blew me away!! They played every song I wanted to hear at Bisco, and almost all I wanted to hear at Pitchfork (they had a shorter set alotted to them), and the energy was insane. Please bring them to the farm!
I saw them for the first time ever about a month and a half ago in Portland. I don't think I have ever danced that hard at a show before. I had no idea it was going to be that high energy or fun. When I listen to them on record they seem a little chill, but live they turn it up. The singer humped his equipment half the time and every song was great. They kind of played the crowd as if we were watching electronic dance music with big buildups and drops, only with the kind of stuff they do. It's one of the best concerts I've ever been to and I was soaked afterward. Must see again! Hopefully at Roo.
Definitely start with In Ghost Colours. I listen to that album all the time. It's perfect walking in the dark music.
