Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

For me it would be because both bands bring me 90's nostalgia, but blink broke up in the early 2000's, while Green Day become one of the biggest rock bands in the world. So Green Day got over-blown while blink kinda disappeared. And Green Day would take a headlining spot, while blink-182 would just be a Weezer-type band.
Iggy and the Stooges would be amazing! What's a Sex Pistols show like these days? Do they ever tour outside of the UK anymore?
I'm not sure what the deal is with the Pistols, but Publc Image Ltd. put on a hell of a show. It would be pretty surreal to see John Lydon at Bonnaroo.
Iggy belongs at Roo. Are The International Noise Conspiracy touring lately? I'd like to see Hank 3 do a country set followed by a punk set with assjack.
speaking of 'emo' i could get down on a Thursday set. not sure what their recent output has been like after A City By The Light Divided(which i wasnt huge on), but i loved Full Collapse and War All The Time back in high school.
last time i saw them was prob in 2005, saw them a few time prior to that, and they always put on a good show.

Yes!!! Thursday puts on a hell of a show, lots of energy. I'm pretty sure they still draw upon alot from Full Collapse and War All the Time, as well as Five Stories Falling.

I would love to see Bad Religion at Roo. They're one of the bands on my bucket list I've not seen yet. I'm also loving the Rancid and Reverend Horton Heat suggestions. How awesome would this be?
Would love to see any of these: Titus Andronicus RBF Mustard Plug Descendants Guttermouth The Dead Milkmen The Aquabats! Millencolin 7 Seconds Big D & The Kids Table Voodoo Glow Skulls Catch 22 The Mighty Mighty Bosstones The Toasters Social Distortion RX Bandits The Specials

I've seen many of these bands back in the late 90s and would love to see them again- especially the specials, but those guys were pretty damn old back then so I doubt they do shows anymore. I also would love to see Rancid again... It's been so long! A skapunk stage would definitely bring me back

I would've never considered RX bandits punk... maybe a little punk influence but... Also they won't be there. Currently on their farewell tour. If they're in your city catch them while you can. Truly amazing live band

I feel like that if anybody got the OpIvy reunion, it'd be Coachella--what with the location and all. But as much as I'd love it to happen, it probably won't anytime soon.
"I love what we did back then, but what we do now is move forward. To go back 20 years wouldn't feel right. I'm super proud of what we did then, a big part of me is in that band. But it's always about the future for me." --Tim Armstrong on an OpIvy reunion.
I had so much fun at this festival in April, I hope Bonnaroo can book a few of these bands for 2012.
I won't even lie.. I would be on the rail if Saves The Day played and weren't conflicting with something major for me. I still know every word to their first couple albums, I don't even know why i'm admitting to this.
Your admitting it because Saves the Day is fantastic. Most people can't get past Chris Conley's whiny voice but if you can you find a great songwriter and an even better lyricist.

Green Day is bigger yes. But you are aware that Blink 182 had a completely sold out arena tour two summers ago and have already done the same for their next tour. Blink 182 is still massive. Weezer opened for them for god sakes.

No, it is a complete pipe dream, but it was just absent from the conversation. I will now be leaving this thread before the 16 year version of myself manifests and then debates why half the bands in this thread are not "punk".

I will go on record to say that I actually would not mind either Green Day or Blink 182 headlining. Not that I'm rooting for it.. but personally I'd enjoy either more than say... any of the 2010 headliners.

Looks like anything off of Epitaph or Fat Wreck Chords would work for most. That'd be real cool.
How about Cursive? AFI and Thursday would also be fun.
I'd also like to point out that Sugarcult is still a band (as shown on that festival poster.) Idk how.
Current heavies that'd be cool: F'ed Up Titus Andronicus No Age
Reunions I'd do embarrassing things for: Kid Dynamite At The Drive-In (seriously Roo, make this happen.) DFA 1979 (extended) Desaparecidos (Connor Oberst heavier ish) Captain Jazz Rites of Spring
