There was someone behind Orri Páll Dýrason on the last song. I didn't know why, until I saw he had to be helped off the stage he was so exhausted.
I was there with my lady last night and we both it agreed it was one of the most aurally overwhelming shows we'd ever been to. While she wept, I thought I was hallucinating. What a seriously intense show. And I'll second the earplugs, it was also one of the loudest i'd seen, third only to the shitty sound at that Marathon Tycho show and when I saw Protomartyr at the Entry in Minneapolis last year.
edit. It was some of the most intense drumming to see live. I thought he was going to die right on stage when he got up. Such an intense show.

Regarding the Hangout show, Beach Bob said he wished he had gone to 21 Pilots instead. I let him off the hook on that one because he had no idea what was in store after the opening couple of songs. That got shut down by lightning.
I'm glad everyone has been loving the **** out of this tour. It doesn't get much more intense than what they're doing.

sigur rós tonight! they moved the show indoors because of expected storms, but that also means it hasn't sold particularly well. i've got my earplugs ready after all of the reports from the nashville show.

One of my biggest live music regrets is selling my ticket to their show there in 2012. Now with Royal Blood opening, this is the sweetest of redemptions.

Good thing there are no QOTSA fans in Texas.
They will probably play ACL next year and hit Texas then.

I was hoping this would come be somewhere closer, but I'm getting tired of the Atlanta trips this year. With Youth Code opening, these are going to be some great shows.
Jason Isbell first night back with the 400 unit tomorrow! Also, already looking forward to Pokey LaFarge a week from Sunday (which happens to be my birthday).

Royal Blood are opening the Toronto and Michigan dates in September.
Glad I set an alarm. Both of these shows sold out less than 90 mins of going on sale. Dave Maynar, did you get a ticket?
I did not. Don't have the cash to drop right about now. I'll see if something comes open soon. Glad club sized shows are selling out here. Just leads to more bands trying to schedule here.
