Biggest non-festival concert weekend of the year coming up for me. Guns n Roses on Saturday in Nashville then up to Cincinnati on Sunday to see Paul McCartney.

Have any of you Knoxville folk been to The Mill & Mine? I am thinking about picking up a ticket for the M83/Shura show and was just wondering how the place is.
It's a pretty cool venue. All open brick and hardwood. I saw Nicolas Jaar, Shabazz Palaces, and Bombino there. The sound was clear and loud.

Great, is it a pretty big room? Just wondering if I need to figure something out soon or if I have a while before it sells out. I saw that the dance floor was wood, always a big plus for me. Also do they have a pretty decent stuff on draft?

They were selling canned beer when I went. The place had just opened so things might've changed since April. I have no clue about the capacity or how fast that particular show would sell out.

I would expect an 11 pm curfew, if it's an arena or stadium show.

I remember and I talking about how the venue had an odor to it the first night of Big Ears because they had just finished enough construction to open it for the festival. In a room past the bathroom, there was still a good amount of construction equipment present. I am going to assume it will be better when it opens officially for these venues. I would not expect a sell out because Knoxville has slower sales than what you would expect for a city of its size.

That's crazy, so it's not much bigger than The Orange Peel? Glad I should have a little time to see if I can make this work.

Ugh that glue smell. I'm sure it's better by now but I won't be able to not think about that in there. That and the bouncy balcony.
That said, I really liked the venue itself. I'm really excited to see it finished.

I was hoping that they got added to the Voodoo lineup. It seems as per the tour dates that they would. It also opens up the possibility of others getting added as well.
