I don't understand how Creed came back. Even in my peak buttrock days at 15 ai hated them. Annoying songs and douche of a lead singer. How did they get uncancelled?
Have you noticed America for the last decade or so?

They are going to rock a lot of butts on the festival circuit next year.
yeah this reeks of a boston calling headline booking
Def butt rock. Welcome To Rockville teased the 👀 already.
Flog all you want. Saw Creed at their peak. Collective Soul opened to boot. I was in the 10th row and the pyro was immense. Gotta rock the butts sometimes

Speaking of my peak buttrock days I saw Linkin Park twice during their Hybrid Theory tours (in <1000 capacity venues) so I doubt that can be topped
The key to this is you were 15 when Creed was popular and not like 7

I hated Linkin park so much when I first heard them. I held onto that hate for years. I can deal with it now but I wouldn’t go out of my way to see them.

Creed were never cancelled, Scott Stapp just had a lot of drug problems.

I loved Hybrid Theory when it first came out, but each subsequent album felt worse than one before. I stopped listening at some point.
I saw them once with Chester and have no desire to see them with a replacement singer.

All of Linkin Park, except Chester, came into the crowd after the encore the 2nd time I saw them and signed autographs. I may still have that shirt. Famously reclusive, and in hindsight, maybe an eerie sign of his long term mental health struggles? Also topical given the Chappel Roan stance on meeting fans, which is why I don't judge her.
Apparently the new single for Linkin Park is a Scientologist and was pretty vocal in support of Danny Masterson. I don’t know much about Chester but I feel like this is a good explanation for why half the OG band isn’t participating. That and replacing Chester just feels odd
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Saw LP playing Hybrid Theory at Ozzfest 2001 with Sabbath, peak Manson, PAPA ROACH, Slipknot touring Iowa, and Distubed asking if we were down with the sickness.
A cherished memory that I will not defile by seeing LP 2.0, but glad the guys (and gal) are getting paid.

Edit: people like Beck were Scientologists and while it’s dumb I’m not gonna hold that. Showing up at Danny’s trials to support him though is a bit much

only the original drummer isn't participating I thought

quite a few reliable sources for this, including Cedrix Bixler-Zavala, who is now married to one of Masterson's victims

Beck was raised in it, and it seems like he was never too big into it (according to him) and eventually left after his divorce, so around the time of his Sea Change album. If she was at the Danny Masterson trial, then that's 1000000x worse.

Yep I thought I had read Joseph Hahn wasn’t returning either but I was wrong. My bad

By next summer? It's likely. Neither he nor Wednesday are likely to ever be arena headliners, but the volume of press he's been getting this week from the mainstream media is incredible and a large ballroom/small amphitheater tour including both bands would be perfect for those sized venues by next summer. He's already sold out a lot of 1K-2K venues on the fall tour. Why are 3K-5K venues so unlikely by next summer, especially if the new Wednesday album is out by then?
you aren’t helping your case by misrepresenting how big he is right now, he’s playing 1k+ venues in NYC, LA, and Boston and that’s it lol. Also thinking that MJ and Wednesday touring together would magically double their audience is hilarious
Playing a 1k capacity venue in Asheville but that's a hometown show. Hasn't sold out, and Wednesday hasn't sold it out the three times they've played there either.

They mightve dated too. But its gonna be a pain to find info. They love to scrub the internet

Hey, he's got a billboard now. You don't get a billboard unless you're absolutely huge.
Just ask the folks at Randall Buick & Motors on Rt. 19. They've got so many billboards.
