They already sent out the press release with the full lineup, effectively spoiling their own day-long roll out. I wouldn't have said anything, but it's already been picked up by a few sites.

unfortunately i go to maine every memorial day, but this is starting to grab more of my attention. I remember seeing this last year, took place in durham, ct, and it sparked my interest.

Ah, only reason I asked about the being affiliated is I also work for a tent rental company and we do tents as well as portable toilets. I contacted them through their website but have yet to hear back. It is nice to see something small growing like it is though. Hopefully my company will be able to help.

Some decent acts on here. Two of my favorites (Felice Brothers and Portugal. The Man) are on the lineup which makes me want to go. Don't know if I can afford staying somewhere but it might be fun to do this.
Actually.....I'm planning Mountain Jam >> Roo so I don't think this will work.....but it'd be cool.

The whole thing seems geared towards kids......reading the FAQ page and it's got answers like "May want to ask Mom for some cash" and "tell your mom this". lol
Either way there's lots of decent stuff on there.....just a lot that i'm not familiar with. Wish they'd offer day passes. We'll see as it gets closer.

I went to WestConn, where this is being held. This sure as hell would beat anything I saw back in the day. This is the same place where they had the Plain White T's show held on the rugby field for 45 high school kids (seriously, this happened 5-6 years ago.)
Don't know if I can afford staying somewhere but it might be fun to do this. .
There's a few hotels off Exits 4 and 8 off I-84 which are fairly cheap and not totally trashy either. The Super 8 is less than a mile from the Westside Campus where this is.
The expensive stuff is closer towards the NY line at Exits 1 and 2.
So based on what's been gathered so far - this festival seems to be popular among people who have never been to festivals before.
I'm surprised the amount of interest this has from friends of mine, as soon as I told them about this. I already got at least 2-3 friends coming down from Mass., and it seems like more is inevitable. Then again, being only an hour and a half away from Danbury (two hours for me) - this is a much better alternative for them than Bonnaroo, which some had expressed interest in also.

I live in CT and went to Bombfest last year.. It was pretty awesome I have to say. It was located only 20 minutes from my home so there was no way I was going to miss out. Of Montreal, Mute Math, Girl Talk, and Lupe Fiasco were the main acts I remember seeing and being really impressed with. But it was really small then, and you're right about it mostly being geared towards kids.
This year that will most likely be even more the case. It's actually located on a state college campus (western ct). But I would definitely still go anyways. The line-up looks awesome, I would probably try to go if it wasn't so close to Bonnaroo.
You would think they would have the permit situation figured out before they announced it and were selling tickets.
As a WestConn alum, it'd be cool if it stays there. I like being around in Danbury. If it does for some reason get moved to Hartford way, then it's alright since I can likely drive home at night rather than stay over somewhere.
Moved to Hartford - it's at the Comcast Theater now.
On the one hand, I hate this because I don't know how that theater handles multiple stages. On the other, I'm stoked because it's 10 minutes away and makes my life easier.
STOKED.
There's some spots you can stick small stages on the outside of the main pavilion/stage.
I wonder just how big this got, considering this venue change.

HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?!?!? THANK YOU INFOROO! I need to look into this immediately! Maybe I'll pass you on my under ten minute drive too!!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
