Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm taking the plunge on VIP tickets this year, and I'm shocked to see how few "Bonnaroo VIP Experience" reviews there are around here.
So, let's hear 'em!
What year did you go? How was your time? How was your campsite? How about your neighbors? Did you leave satisfied or disappointed? What was your favorite part of the VIP experience? Any buzzkills?
I went GA the first time I went, 2006. I've been VIP each year after that. I'll be VIP for the rest of my life. Here's why...
1) Access. VIP is next to Centeroo. No long walk to a long line to get in. Short line, with friendly staff checking bags on the way in.
2) Showers and flush toilets. (Nuff said?)
3) The camp sites are organized in rows, with navigable aisles.
4) In VIP, the parking staff has always allowed us to keep space for tribe members further back in line, but who we want in our area. They have always been cool with that. GA parking was a cattle car loading experience, with no accommodation for the hectic pace of entry.
VIP is completely worth it to me. I stay in a tent, not an RV, cook my own food, ( I had the meal plan once, liked it, but decided to stay with the group meals from then on.) A shower in the AM, and another before bed is so sweet. Plus, there are civilized areas within Centeroo available to VIP. Respite from the throngs is nice when needed.
Oh, yeah...neighbors are cool in VIP or GA. No big difference there. Except, in VIP your neighbors aren't quite as close. (As in not right on top of you.) I've had no buzzkills.

Hi - good decision to go VIP. We've always gone this route. In addition to what's already been said, I love the air-conditioned bathrooms. Sure, they are just fancy port-o-johns but so much better than the one's that bake in the sun all day. Neighbors are always wonderful. They tend to be more mature and very willing to share. Little fear of looting since the GA folks are kept out -- my kids go GA and I'm happy not to see them all weekend, frankly! They only ask for money anyway. Best of all, you can walk back to the campsite whenever you want, take a nap or shower and get your energy back. Look forward to seeing you there! Look for us - we'll be the elderly man and woman with the rockin' van!
Your reviews have helped me decide to go VIP, thanks! If any of you see a volvo station wagon with a big 'ol MGMT sticker on the back feel free to say hello!

Rocking van=Awesome!
Oldladyroo or Moodring are you going to be in the camp inforoo group? If not, no worries, if so I was just going to put you on the list.
Thanks for the invite. We are coming with our kids (grown) and will have two spots. The logistics of figuring THAT out are hard enough! We'll look for you though. VIP ain't that big...
^^^^sounds good. look for the tent that is shakin' and that is were i'll be bakin'. (Not sure what that means, but it sounded good in my head before I typed it.)

Remember to drive to 'Roo in disguise. Looking like hippies on the road to 'Roo can make for unnecessary conversations with the local constables. MGMT sticker? Hmmmm...
Well, the Volvo is pretty much an elderly car... Perhaps I should temporarily cover the MGMT sticker with a "my kid's on on the honor roll!" bumper sticker.... ;D

Scrog can provide more details, but from what I know it's a bunch of VIPers who meet up before entering the farm. That way they can set up together and have a big old, extendo, camp site for like minded Roosters. Makes for a nice mini-community.
