Drench that Leno in blues, funk and soul. I could die a happy man if a number of these guests came out.
The possibilities of this SuperJam are endless. Glad Bonnaroo is back in style with the return of the SuperJam and jam in general.
Wow dude, that is all the people I would want too. Don't wanna sound stupid, but who is Jay Lane and what band does he play with? I ask because all the other ones you mentioned make me believe that you and I are musical soulmates

^drummer for Primus...also to answer the person's question on the end of page 1: a superjam is where a bunch of different artists at Bonnaroo come and join Dan Auerbach & Dr. John on stage to perform and they normally choose one artist/band to cover. 2008 it was Tom Waits and they covered Led Zeppelin one year (I think 07). 2009 it was supposed to happen with David Byrne leading the way, but other things happened.

The SuperJam is one of the most highly anticipated features of the festival, combining the talents of a diverse set of musicians for a one-time-only collaborative performance. Past participants have included John Paul Jones, Stewart Copeland, Herbie Hancock, Trey Anastasio, and many other musicians.
Bonnaroo 2011 will be the 10th Anniversary of the festival. We are looking to make this year very special and are concentrating on the SuperJam / collaboration aspect of the festival. The following have been confirmed, look for special guests, sit ins and more!
• Dr. John and The Original Meters performing Desitively Bonnaroo • SuperJam with Dan Auerbach and Dr. John • Global Gypsy Punk Revue curated by Eugene Hütz
should be amazing. What an awesome way for them to bring back Superjam.

Superjam's return is excitin'! It wasn't a priority fer me back in '07 and '08 (though I did catch a few minutes of each year while walkin' by on my way back to camp), but it's just such a wonderfully unique aspect of Bonnaroo! Glad to have it back, especially with this many.
Ditto. In 08, even though I got to see two hours of MMJ incredible set. It did come at the expense of missing most of the Gogol/Claypool Superjam. That said, those last 30 minutes was amazing and its still one of those marquee performances. Im damn excited for its return. The Gypsy Revue definitely has my interest and I recommend people checking out Beats Antique and Devotchka.
Anyone think we´ll see a change in venue and time for Superjam from the past few? Perhaps playing on a stage and not late night?
If they claim to be "concentrating" on the superjam for their 10th I'd expect it to be one of those classic, unmissable sets. It'd be more accessible to everyone if they held it during the early evening. Does that also make it What stage material? I'm hoping the sit-ins will do that by themselves.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Patick Hallahan (MMJ) show up for some time on the drums! Having never experienced a Bonnaroo superjam I am expecting it to be similar to a typical 'jam session' where multiple musicians will play on each instrument and since Dr. John and Dan are billed they will be there for the whole show...Or am I just over thinking this? ???
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Dr. John and Dan playing some songs by The band? That would be sick! What is the Global Gypsy punk revue? And, The funk university? There are a lot of amazing bassist this year, maybe they will join bootsy for the funk university. I can't find anything on the funk university. Dan playing some Junior Kimbrough would be amazing! Also, what do you think the chances are that Dre would be with eminem?
