I'm in. Condo 0.9 miles away (good for walking off the beer calories), kitchen for cheap, good meals, tickets, and several friends jumping in today as well. Jane's Addiction being added to the lineup officially would be a cherry. It's 5 days after the wife and my 7 year anniversary, but a good gift all the same. Pumped.
It's strange that I jumped on this before waiting for Bonnaroo. The last festival I went to was Festival 8 (Phish's Cali fest). I stayed in a condo 1 mile away from the venue. I haven't been to a camping festival since. B'roo can still get me with Radiohead, though it's looking poor for that.
Yeah, they might get added back but I think Jane's was taken OFF the list...no banner's up yet on the official web site. I've got a request in for interviews so I'll ask but I can't find any official word that they are on the lineup as of now...if they were listed on any initial leaks...they've been removed from anything on the official website as of now. But we should get at least 30 more adds before the lineup is set and at least a couple should be really good second tier acts...they have one more stage than last year and have set the bar even higher so I suspect we'll see some good names show up
The festival co-founders for a pre-festie article about how/why they started the fest, what their plans are to grow it, their vision for it and the gulf coast music scene in general etc....and their contribution to the Gulf Coast Restoration post BP catastrophe.

And for those going with condo's and whatnot, does anyone have an open spot or two they'd like to share and share costs with? I'm possibly looking for a place to stay.
Can anyone with local knowledge, or has already booked their lodging, link me to the site through which they found their condo?
...All these options are a little overwhelming :/
Also what is with the departure fees?? I looked at booking a couple of condos at orange beach and the "departure" fee was over $100. What the heck is that for?

Seriously, Hangout got 3 of the big names at Roo this year. I would be excited, but considering I am going to both i'm pretty pissed. I guess that's what I get for buying a Hangout ticket before the Roo lineup is announced.
I'm sure i'll have a great time regardless, but damn.

I am glad I have a volunteer job for Bonnaroo. Unless they bust out a crazy good undercard I doubt I would be going otherwise.

I've got a decent amount of condos and places over the years and they all charge cleaning fees, that's probably what they are talking about. Depending on size they are all around 100 bucks.
I normally book places through vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner). It's kinda like taking out the middle man so the prices are normally cheaper. I got in with some friends that had already booked a place, but I was looking into condo units called the regatta. Looked super cheap and it's literally the place right next door.
Good luck
edit: forgot that the one mentioned above post meyers or whatever lets you buy tickets at early bird prices....that might be a good enough deal to warrant going with them.

Meyers Reality has a condo deal where you enter promo code "HMF45" and you get the 4th night free, assuming you're staying Thursday - Monday. It's still going to be costly, but I just got my state refund and we're going to live a little. We haven't been to the beach in years.

As the Roo lineup is looking a little weak, we're thinking about going here instead of Broo this year. If anyone is interested in teaming up to get a condo or house rental cheap, let me know. We are 3 guys, 26, 23 and 21...

^^^^^ Hangout looks like it'll be a great time, I'm sure you guys would have a blast, I'm really looking forward to it. How is the Roo lineup looking weak?

Sorry, I should have put that differently. My friends and I decided that unless the Roo lineup looked extremely strong we would skip it for Hangout as it seems like a different and cool experience. Like, if there was some mindblowing headliners I wouldn't miss roo but as of now it doesnt look that way.

We booked through Meyers....got a penthouse that sleeps 8 (in queen size beds or bigger) for 4 nights and 8 presale tix for $2200. Good deal Id say.
