Played that last year Such a unique game. One day I may go back and do all the side quests.
oh dude if you didn't do the side quests, you actually missed a ton of character development, and probably got a way different ending
I did surprisingly get the “good” ending...wording that to avoid spoilers. I did do all the side quests for 2-3 of the Grumpuses and a few for some of the others.
Will be totally honest, my PS5 has become a paperweight since launch, partially due to lack of exclusives and partially due to the fact that I'm at my partners apartment all the time and prefer to use my switch for its portability. Super excited for the potential switch pro coming this year
so I played a ton of sid meyers pirates, is this like that but better?
No clue, never played it. Basically it's open world, get quests, do things to find treasure, bring it back and sell it. You're either on a boat for 1-2,2-3,or 3-4 players. So you can only play in a party of four, which is a bummer. I'm enjoying play it with my friends a lot more than our regular BR go to. And it's free on game pass both for PC and XBOX.
The whole world though has PvE and PvP so riding across the sea some jerk may stop and fight you, or may sink your ship while you're attempting to find some booty. There's also ghost ships, skeleton ships, megladons, squids, etc to fight.
There's no real ranking system either, gold's only used to buy skins for yourself/different weapons. There's some stuff you can spend real money on (only cosmetic) but I think most of that you can get with the gold you earned in game too. You can rank up with different factions doing their quests, but it's real advantage is just getting better and longer quests from them (I think if you rank up all the way you can see other players on the map that are working for the same faction, not sure).

yeah it sounds pretty similar, I'd like to check it out but if you have to play in groups that may make it harder for me lol

Nah, I'm in and out of groups. I play mostly by myself, I'm just a lot more cautious and watch the horizon for suspicious looking pirates more often. Also dont do much PvE without a second person.
oh ok I see what you meant not that you can only play if you have four people, but you can't have a ship of 16 or whatever
Right, by yourself you'd only be able to sail to 1-2 person ship.
Which you would only want to anyway. It's set up so that the one sail, anchor, and steering can all be done from the top deck. The bigger the boat the more spread out things are, the more sails it has, the faster it becomes, but the harder it is to steer and navigate.

Want to reiterate that God of War fucking kicks ass and is a lot of fun. I'm surely the last to know, but I can't remember the last time I felt this driven to come back to a game day after day.
Yeah, kinda sucks I sold off my PS4 before playing it. I kind of got over the same GoW formula over and over but I have heard it's a lot different.
yeah it's totally different. I never played the old ones, until I tried 3 after playing the new one, didn't even make it more than a few hours in because it just wasn't doing it for me

So I caved in and bought a used copy of Cyberpunk. Damn thing refused to load on my Xbox. Tried every trick I read online. Finally downloaded it from the app store and it still wouldn't acknowledge the discs.
Took it back and just bought the digital version since the big patch is close.
I think it's pretty fun. Nothing mindblowing but not as bad as people made it seem. The combat is intense. World looks great.
The inventory page sucks. Cant read half of the stuff on it playing on a big screen.
Wish I'd get more attention from NPCs while walking around with my boobs out:(

Sheesh, that's a big pain. Glad you're enjoying the game. One of my good friends has like 100+ hours in it. One day I'll play it...maybe...these big, open world games overwhelm me
