Arcade Fire is way to big not to play What. Just saying.
Queue Wolfman Jess barging into the thread saying thet they only draw 30-50 people total for each of their shows and that they'd play Thursday in the Troo Music Lounge AT BEST.
I feel like we've been over this before, though...as it stands now, I think they'd be the best band Roo could get to close out Which or one of the best pre-headliners (to say...Radiohead) they could get.

First off a queue is a line, I am thinking you meant cue, secondly all I have said is that they will most likely be a latenight which (biggest non headlining slot of the festival), and that they do not have the mass appeal to headline at Bonnaroo. Sorry if the truth hurts your feelings k. If you can not sell 5000 tickets in Atlanta, or more than 4000 in Nashville then you will not headline Bonnaroo. Even Kol sold out the hockey arena here in town the year before they headlined.

It may not be the truth and it doesn't hurt my feelings. I was joshing you and the fact that you always throw these figures out that may or may not be totally accurate.
And you are right, I did mean cue...I always thought it was "queue" for some reason, I think because it says "queue" on some downloading software when you click to download an album. Thank you for the correction.

I have been to the Ryman well over 50 times, and Verizon @ Alpharetta 4 times this year. Pretty sure I know how many seats they have in the different configurations.

I don't doubt it...Knowing how many seats they have and how many tickets they sold are two completely different things, as you know. That's all I have to say on the matter...

The Ryman sold out it was maximum capacity or 2362 seats. VZW at Encore did not sell out (friend bought a ticket at the gate), and in the configuration they used with no lawn it is 6000 capacity @ 1000 in the pit, and 5000 in the seats. So you are technically correct they could have sold up to 5999 tickets, however that would still not make them headliner status, and from the pictures I saw there were quite a few empty's in the seat section, so 5000 seems likely to be a little more accurate.
Sorry to keep on going after the "last word", just letting you know where my numbers were coming from.

Pavement is the top 5 of the 90's category. Arcade Fire made on good, but over-rated album and should have slid into obscurity, but they were rewarded handsomely in the media for two less than mediocre records.
I like their stuff and definitely enjoyed their show at Lolla, but they just don't do it for me like other bands do. I appreciate what they do and can understand the obsession though. Just not my thing I guess.
I'll for sure check them out if they play Roo, but I will not feel bad at all leaving early to catch something I really want to see.

I think you just have a bone to pick La Russa. I might go out and say Kanye's music sucks, but I don't actually believe he isn't talented or that his albums are terrible. For what it's worth they are very comparable live (Pavement & AF).
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

The Suburbs isn't terrible. It has a few good songs. Funeral is a pretty good album, as I've said over and over. The difference between Pavement and Arcade Fire isn't their mannerisms live, but the huge gulf in quality songs in both their respective catalogs.

Pavement and Arcade Fire both rule in their respective fields. Pavement are the kings of sloppy lofi 90's rock meant for rock clubs. Arcade Fire are one of the few bands within the last ten years that can absolutely demolish an arena show (MMJ being the other one) with a Springsteen like wall of sound.
secondly all I have said is that they will most likely be a latenight which (biggest non headlining slot of the festival), and that they do not have the mass appeal to headline at Bonnaroo.
Sure, let's just add AF to the unholy Late Night Conflict From Hell.

Even though I've seen them, I would see Arcade Fire over almost anyone else.
Well yes. But, you think if they end up in a Late Night Which show - there's going to be at least two other things at the same time slot you'd want to see but get skipped for AF.
